“December hotel review”

Good hotel + WiFi and Dona was very nice. Very close to the city centre too and easy to commute via the tram, bus and taxi routes. Breakfast was good too, omelette on demand and other traditional Turkish breakfast items. Topped up with water in the morning

“Clean and reasonably priced”

We stayed at this hotel in October for 2 nights, we had an early departure and they made up a packed lunch for us as we couldnt make breakfast. The hotel is clean with friendly staff and good breakfast selection. I would stay again should I return to the area

starting with the pro's since they are few and far 1. good breakfast spread, live counter, fresh breads and fruits 2. good location very near to the few sightseeing places in the city. CON's 1. Cold front office - there is no warmth at the reception with robotic personnel, no request shall be entertained, be it room change or some cutlery required since the restaurant closes at 10 PM and the cold reception does not bother to tell you this during check inn, so if you have late evening flight please have your dinner out or in your hands, since eating out at night is very expensive in antalya. 2. we stayed in room 704 the air conditioning duct was choked, taking full advantage of the language barrier they kept passing the buck between the technician and the cold front office despite several complaints, we had to sleep with open windows since the room change request was also denied. 3. cutlery shall only be provided if you order something from the restaurant which by the way closes by 10 PM ? 4. no free lunch is known but no free water is unheard, so no extra water bottle shall be provided even if you have a 2 year old baby. Please make your on assessment...............................

Second time staying at this hotel and will be the last. I booked three rooms, one of which was a suite. Size-wise, it was very good, but that is all. The cleanliness was disgusting. I moved a chair and found items left by previous guests behind. The carpets had not been hoovered and were dirty, old, and ripped. When I moved the bed to pick up a pen I dropped, there was a HUGE hole in the carpet under the bed. The bathroom was the thing that let the room down completely it was DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY, and the hairdryer had exposed wires (hubby got a shock the first time using, it and didn't touch it again) The bath was BLACK we used slippers to stand in and have a shower, shower head kept sliding down the pole it was placed on ( even though reported it and it was fixed, (NOT) the light above the entrance door kept flickering again I reported it was fixed, (NOT as it kept doing it) The living room had a sofa made up of 2 ends of 2 different sofas, there was no lighting except the flickering one over the entrance door so we were unable to sit and read or talk as it was too dark in room. We had the room cleaned every other day (I say cleaned) the maid took the tip left on the bed, pulled sheets up, and replaced towels. I had to ask to have the bed changed as it had only been changed once in 9 days, and toiletries were never replaced. The restaurant is very nice and the breakfast is very very nice and has lots of choices, dinner buffet was good on some nights but a bit mediocre on others, but value for money. I don't like to post bad reviews as I have worked in this industry and know it hard, that is why I always carry my own cleaning chemicals when I travel. We have used Best Western before and have not had any serious issues but this time has closed a door for us with this company. The area around the hotel is very central everything is on your doorstep another side of that is that it's DIRTY, with cigarette butts, and rubbish everywhere. Staff were majority pleasant and polite with the odd exception that should learn how to smile and say Hello. I heard that they are refurbishing the hotel, maybe if our room had been refurbished it wouldn't have spoilt our holiday but my one piece of advice to management is please give your staff a bit of CUSTOMER focused training and definitely train them on Cleaning standards. I did ask for the General Manager's email so I could send him my review rather than go public but apparently according to the receptionist he does not have one,( go figure.)
