Nimara ( monte ) beach resort is as I remembered, exquisitely beautiful , breathtaking and I’m about to leave with sadness and I think I will return . A few snags which I assume are to do with hotel management, we arrived in the early hours to find our rooms were scattered around the mountains which as we had children and a disabled adult was catastrophic and there was no interest in allocating us nearby rooms , this led to night time treks and the need for mobile data Please avoid using the “bell” boy as he will withhold your keys and demand money as will the maintenance men who will switch your electric off and demand thousands of lira !!! ( just say police !!!) Then there’s Keenan/Kevin , the hotel pass your details to him , he is NOT a rep , he has NOTHING to do with your transfers , he will find you and he doesn’t like being refused and can be very threatening, DONT stand down !!!!!!! So this hotel is a budget hotel for Russians and Turks and it’s just beautiful, the Rooms ( loads of stairs ) , the pool , the beach are up there with the best and the views being a tear to your eye . The food, right , it’s very basic Turkish and not catering for the standard British palate so if you are a fussy eater you won’t survive !! All my kids were fine but it’s salads , chicken , meatball and rice every meal and breakfast is terrible ( sorry ) And the wasps …… everywhere in the dining room , thousands crawling over you and your dinner If you don’t do wasps ( and giant hornets) probably not for you The bar and catering staff are separate to the hotel and are Wonderful, made our holiday fun and safe and lifelong friends . We were the only English at the hotel , one couple arrived but left swiftly, we stayed and loved it It’s definitely a holiday resort for the braver budget traveller

This hotel is ok if you really want to use it as a base to sleep in if you can deal with the steep slope and stairs up to the rooms. This hotel is ok if you really want to use it as a base to sleep in if you can deal with the steep slope and stairs up to the rooms. Food was alright don’t except anything fancy or fresh for every meal. Rooms basic could really do with make over as walls are dirty, broken TV, bathroom spots of mould and air con which only works half the time and you only get one pillow per person which has seen better days. Also won’t be cleaned everyday or every other day. Reception/hotel staff can be rude and only 1 speaks English. The other always asleep on the sofa. Bar/restaurant staff are lovely, kind and friendly and speak basic English which was good. If you come and a old guy offers to take your bags to your room do not accept as once in the room will not give you the key till you give him money which he demands. This is not a hotel cantered to the English or English speaking as only Turkish, Russian and Ukrainian guests here which obviously not a problem but bare in mind if you want more of English cantered resort. Pool is clean daily and beach is small but if want a beach lounger you have to get there at 6am before everyone puts their towel down for the week! Watch out for Kevin the con, believe if English the hotel will give your details to him to con you out of day trips. If see him walk away and don’t give into his tricks and rude attitude. Pro- if you like a really strong vodka or gin drink this is the place to be! Public transport it really easy and cheap into central Marmaris either bus or taxi.
