Positives: - Clean pool areas - Quick bar service and drink choices - Plenty of sun loungers - Spacious, open hotel - Water slide - Generally able to feed fussy-eaters no issues Negatives: - More 4* than 5* - Rooms needing refreshing - ‘Adults only’ areas are non-existent - Food options not wonderful - No entertainment My partner and I stayed for a week in one of the swim up rooms at the end of October into start of Nov 2024. The hotel is absolutely huge but doesn't feel cramped at all. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful whenever we needed them. The pool bar staff were friendly enough however my partner went to the bar 3x and ordered a rum and coke from the same barman and each time came back with a different drink, sometimes even in a different colour… he still drank them anyway! Plenty of suitable non-alcoholic choices too. Our room was modern and presentable, the air con didn’t work but as it was cooler in the mornings and evenings we coped fine without causing a fuss. The bathroom showed the age of the hotel, slight chips to doorframes/mirrors etc but nothing that affected the functions. The built in hairdryer was pretty good too. As far as it being a swim up room, yes technically it was however we didn’t get to use the pool once in the entire holiday as it was ice cold. I’m sure in the height of summer it would be but definitely not worth the upgrade during the cooler months! A major negative for us was the outdoor pool arrangement with children. We were well aware that Garcia is a family friendly hotel, but it is advertised that there is a children’s pool and then 3/4 adults only pools. Whether this is something that is policed in the summer more I’m not sure but the relaxation was really tainted by children shouting/screaming/splashing you when you’re trying to sunbathe or read a book. This fact alone would make me reconsider coming back and I work with children so have nothing against them, just wanted a break during my holidays! The all inclusive food options are good enough , you definitely won’t starve but don’t be expecting to see a chicken nugget at lunch/dinner etc or have a typical Mediterranean style meal. Chips are a staple, the meat options are limited, usually , only ever saw one choice of fish which is tail portions of salmon which were full of bones. Some dishes mis-labeled and the chefs didn’t speak English to ask what it was. Puddings aren’t ever labelled and questionable in their appeal, no ice cream/yoghurt options. Breakfast is unusual, not a ‘full English’ cooked style but not continental either. Lots of wilted looking salad. Understandably no bacon or sausage etc but also no Turkish alternative, only hard boiled eggs, no fried or scrambled. No pastries,crossaints,yoghurts etc. breakfast consisted of beans on toast for us daily. One night we were forced to get a taxi into the town to a restaurant as I refused to eat a plate of fries as my dinner and I truly am not a fussy eater. Overall we did have a nice and comfortable holiday, however wouldn’t return based on the food choices and being misled regarding the adults only elements!

Very nice hotel in a beautiful location with amazing views of Oludeniz. Rooms were spotless and the staff were helpful and very friendly. Free daily shuttle to the beach was handy and getting a taxi to OluDeniz town was literally just a push of a button. Negatives: The restuarant was probably the biggest let down with a very poor selection of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was a real struggle to eat there so after 3 days we ate out for the rest of our holiday. The entertainment wasn't great and the area it was held in, made it even worse with huge pillars blocking the view. Be careful of the excursions, Turtle bay cruise was ok but there is only the odd turtle popping up for air (they don't eat any of the crab you are advised to buy and throw in) and they are only viewable from a small 6' section of jetty between some boats where there are 20-30 other people trying to see. Photo's were out of focus as well. The excursion to really avoid is the speed boat which is more like a slow boat! Took us to a cave for 5 mins for pictures, then to Butterfly Valley where there is supposed to be a magnificent waterfall. No butterfies, the waterfall was a trickle of dirty water and the beach was strewn with litter. It was a waste of time and money. The guy who organises the excursions resists credit cards, he will try all he can to make you pay cash! It's a shame as the negatives let this hotel down, because without them we would definately book this place again.
