My second visit to the hotel. Came first time with my late mum last year which she thoroughly enjoyed. Had an amazing stay and packed in so much activities. Entertainment awesome and food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. One of my friends and I had the full body treatment which was brilliant value at £50 for the 80 minutes. We even tried out the jacuzzi which was so relaxing. Still trying to decide about coming back next year. But yeah will definitely be back. Was nice catching up with a lot of the staff that were there last year, including yourself Sharon and of course the lovely Ruth. Also Lesley the tui rep was brilliant always there to assist with things. Thank you Grand azur.

Having previously stayed at Marmaris Bay Hotel we were extremely keen to try the Grand Azur. The Grand Azur is a special place!! It was totally evident that all of the staff were working tirelessly and with such pride to give the guests such a fabulous experience. Thank you again to everyone who made our holiday just perfect and so memorable, we would not change anything. We would also like to thank and acknowledge outstanding personal and attentive service from waiters Bayram, Imam, Memmet and Aydan. What incredible staff! Evening entertainment was really well organised being professional and everyone engaged brilliantly with the audience, it was the best we have seen recently at any hotel. In the restaurant, the quality and choice of the food was absolutely fabulous. A delightful place we enjoyed lunch was the grill and bar, again ticking every box for us. Food chosen from a menu and again served by delightful waiters. Another memorable stand out was the fabulous meal with our family in the Lavante restaurant. What a setting, fabulous ambience great food……oh, and that view with the amazing table on the balcony, simply stunning and an indelible memory! Another huge THANK YOU to everyone at the Grand Azur, we will definitely be returning and cannot recommend this hotel enough!

I am writing this review because I feel that the Tui Grand Azur deserves a fair/honest review. Overall I thought our stay was ok, somewhere in between good and bad. I'll start with what was good. Firstly the bar staff were quality, good service and super polite. The buffet (as far as buffets go) was decent. The complex itself was fairly impressive, especially compared to the hotels surrounding, I was fairly impressed with the beach, nice little private bar and places to relax. Now, in terms of negatives I think the reception staff (one in particular) needs to up skill in customer service, our room was facing a fairly busy road (as are all standard rooms), which kept waking us up during the night, after the first night I politely asked if we could move rooms, the receptionist (a middle aged female) first response was: well unfortunately, all of the rooms along the front of the building face the road, so I should consider moving hotels, I laughed it off at the time and pointed out that the hotel was clearly at less than max capacity and there was rooms facing the other side of the hotel, which I was advised was 30 euros more per night - I wasn't giving more money to someone so rude, so I passed. Other let downs that I would highlight to anyone reading, the rooms aren't as clean as I assumed for a TUI Blue, the curtains in our rooms smelt of smoke and were very dusty. The swimming pool is absolutely baltic (which served as a funny game, to watch new comers reactions to jumping in the pool), FYI although the swimming pool indoors is 'heated', it's still far too cold. The entertainment is mid, on the Saturday, they had a group performance which was class, apart from that, I thought it was quite boring. Lastly, and maybe I should have looked at this before I booked the trip, the alcoholic drinks on the all inclusive aren't branded (including whats in the cocktails), we was charged circa 9 euro for every Smirnoff Vodka etc that we had. This was the first time the hotel was open in November, and to be fair we landed on good times, weather was decent (apart from one day), 20-23 degrees most days. If you're considering going at a similar time, take a jumper for the evenings.
