On arrival at the hotel we were shown to our room on the 5th floor, on entering we could barely fit our cases and ourselves through the door as the wardrobe prevented entry, The furniture was water damaged and dated the bed sheets were stained and the ceiling height was an issue. As the hotel lift only goes to the 4th floor it is clear that the 5th floor is an “attic” add on. We asked to be moved to another room which we were on the 4th floor this was more acceptable however it took several hours as they said it would need to be cleaned first, whilst waiting in reception we incountered 3 different couples who were also placed on the 5th floor who were also wanting to move rooms! ( a mother and daughter from Bristol who were so friendly, a couple from Accrington & a couple who were on their honeymoon forgot where they were from) we were given the key to our new room which for a 4star hotel it was a little dated (but clean) the balcony had 2 air con units so space is limited (no table & chairs can’t be moved), the all inclusive restaurant was ok if you like a variety of chicken, rice & chips, the salad bar was nice and there are burgers etc at lunch, the “only” bar served basic beer and vodka and soft drinks ( so if you’re looking for a selection of drinks it’s not here), also the coke light kept running out and the beer ran out on our last day ! The hotel pool is small and surrounded by tables and chairs for dining so is not really used, The beach area was ok with free sun beds (although the first one I sat on I went through the gap! (A pile of dead ones were stacked up nearby). However Ismeler has some great bars and hotels and restaurants and shopping when you explore. the BS beach bar just along the beach has good food and sun-beds etc, a taxi boat is available to Marmaris and Turunc a nice cheap way to see the near by towns. In conclusion if you stay at the Marbas select hotel don’t stay in a room that’s on the 5th floor, don’t rely on the all inclusive restaurant and bar if you want variety, and pick your spot on the beach. (Could be definite 4star hotel if updated) Positives , staff very friendly, great air con , new tv’s , room cleaned daily, right near the beach, oh and love the cheese (klasik inek) 🤪

“Lacking basic customer service”

Hotel basic but clean, food plentiful but can be slightly repetitive. Location is quiet and away from the centre of Icemeler. Negatives There are not enough sunbeds. Water in the room is not replenished and when requested at reception they say they don’t have any. General customer service ... more

Hotel basic but clean, food plentiful but can be slightly repetitive. Location is quiet and away from the centre of Icemeler. Negatives There are not enough sunbeds. Water in the room is not replenished and when requested at reception they say they don’t have any. General customer service is lacking When we enquired about a late check out early in the week, we were told to come back on the morning of our check out day, but were then told that our room was already allocated to someone who had already arrived. There are no changing facilities in the hotel apart from the open showers on the beach. Housekeeping knocked on our door any morning we weren’t out of the room by 9am.
