“Great hotel stay”

The hotel was great friendly people and with all inclusive great value. Food is really tasty and always different choices. Rooms are always cleaned.

Staff brilliant especially gultekin. Clean food good ideal location to everthing. Made to feel very welcome would come back. Boat trips were brilliant and boat taxi very good. Easy to get to places all staff couldn't do enough for you

I'm going to write a really honest review in the hope that it will help people to decide whether to book a stay at The Halici, or not. As we arrived, my first reaction was a little bit disappointing. The exterior doesn't look particularly impressive - but, once inside reception, my opinion began to change. The staff at reception were incredibly warm and friendly and we were booked in very quickly. ✔️ We went up in the lift to our room. Now, it has to be said, the rooms do not look as they do on the Web Site, they are quite basic. There was one wardrobe and maybe 5 clothes hangers for both of us. But... very, very clean with lots of towels in the bathroom. Shower was 'adequate' During the holiday we were impressed with how often our rooms were cleaned and the towels changed. Food... Excellent! And the setting is lovely, you can eat under cover or outside with huge parasols to protect you from the sun. Lots of choices, always freshly cooked. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and then in between there is a snack bar down by the pool that serves Pizza, Burgers and Chips. The staff in the dining area are lovely. Incredibly friendly and helpful. The dining area is SPOTLESS. Obviously there is alcohol available but also Fanta, Seven Up, Pepsi etc then there is tea available and a coffee machine. Lots of sun beds down by the pool and there is a water slide that is really good! They have entertainment a few times a week. Lots of traditional Turkish dancing, Belly dancing and a fabulous guitarist. WiFi is poor, we had none in our room and had to use a seating area down stairs to contact home. There is a lovely lady called Maria who over sees everything. She is English born but has lived in Turkey for many years. She's great, very helpful and lovely to chat to. Over all, we had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again. This isn't a 5 star hotel but remember, you're not paying 5 star prices. It's an excellent hotel, it's clean and comfortable and the all. Inclusive services are really, really good. A couple of names to mention.. Sibel in the dining area was particularly lovely to us. Metehan (hope that's the spelling) down in the pool bar is funny and chatty! Really lovely! Thanks to everyone at The Halici, hope to see you soon. Margaret and Jimmy Taylor

This hotel did not look like the photos. I went all inclusive which was a waste of money as the food was average with not much choice. This hotel did not look like the photos. I went all inclusive which was a waste of money as the food was average with not much choice. Most days I skipped lunch and waited to eat at the pool area around 4ish. The staff were mostly uninterested with the exception of a few which were one young man at reception who was always happy, smiling and helpful and the friendly chef by the pool area was also nice and a few other staff members. The worst staff were two females at the pool bar who could best be described as rude. One guest complained about them as they were particularly rude to her. I think they are in desperate need of retraining. My holiday was booked as all inclusive but was not as you weren’t able to obtain ANY cocktails of ANY kind, not even cocktails made with local drinks. I’ve never been all inclusive where this was the case and there’s no mention of this anywhere. They were also charging for miscellaneous things like lime cordial. Water also, though they did have a water fountain. On the plus side my room was ok with a good shower with hot water all day. My bed was comfortable though some guests complained of hard beds but I prefer a firm mattress so I slept well. The best part of this hotel and their absolute saving grace for me is the outside areas, particularly the pool area which is lovely. I will not be returning to this hotel.
