“Great hotel”

Visited as a couple. Rooms could benefit from a revamp however were serviceable. We had a room by the pool furthest away from reception. Visited as a couple. Rooms could benefit from a revamp however were serviceable. We had a room by the pool furthest away from reception. The room was ground floor with patio which was lovely however there was nowhere to hang wet towels/swimwear. No kettle or tea and coffee making facilities however this wasn’t a problem as we purchased a kettle cheaply enough from a local supermarket. Breakfast more than adequate however would have been nice to have had fresh orange rather than the heavily diluted squash. Pool areas immaculate and the maids work hard offering clean towels daily. Personally we are animal lovers. The dogs and cats who frequent the hotel are very friendly and are doing no one any harm. I would also question the statement regarding the hotel being overrun with cats 🙄. Other guests who see these animals as a problem should perhaps think about staying elsewhere. We also witnessed the gardener with a small rock in his hand early one morning chasing one of the dogs. His intentions were questionable and it was unpleasant seeing him trying to antagonise the poor dog. All in all a pleasant stay and may return in the future

“Beautiful hotel- Do not go here if you don’t like animals.”

Pros Beautiful facilities- Spotlessly clean. The maids and staff members work extremely hard. Beautiful gardens in the hotel. Good number of pools and lots of sun beds available. Branded drinks and you are never waiting by the bar for long periods. Short ten minute walk into the town centre- A taxi is just 100 lira and there is lots of them around. Boat trip run by the hotel in the afternoon into the early evening is amazing. Probably one of the best boat trip I’ve been on. Snack bar- Lovely food options and big portions. I would say breakfast is a positive and a negative. There is always fresh fruit, hot food, pancakes and eggs available. There is only one cereal option and no juice available. There is squash available. I think for such a big hotel there should be more options available as it was very basic and repetitive. Cons This hotel is over run by animals. There are dogs running around everywhere and if you ignore them they ignore you- which is fine. However people feed them constantly so they will always be there. Cats are everywhere- we have travelled to Turkey a number of times so this was not a shock to us. However the stupidity of some guests was disappointing. Guests would feed them by their bedroom door and then cats were scratching doors and fighting at 3:00am in the morning. The most awful noise. Also some guests would have them in their rooms. Numerous complaints to the hotel and the jet 2 rep which did not make a difference. You even had cats trying to come into your room as you opened your bedroom door. Other hotels we have been to there has been cat feeding stations around the back of the hotel this may be an option. I bought a water fan and sprayed the cats that stopped them coming near my door. It’s a shame that these things spoil the hotel as it is in a brilliant location and staff work really hard there.

Our second visit to Dalyan. Last year we stayed next door at the Club ala Turc...(which oddly looked near empty this year). We had surveyed the Keskin and it seemed more upmarket, so booked it for this year. The grounds, buildings and pool areas are clean and modern and the small room we were given was clean and recently painted I would guess. Some minor issues were apparent...the toilet cistern would often run-on, the shower nozzle hook was way too high and one undersized blanket as our total bedding quota was insufficient. We needed to ask several times at Reception until an extra blanket was provided. The bed was firm and suited us fine and the room had modern Air-con which we rate as important. The staff were friendly throughout and we definitely prefer this location about ten minutes walk north of the town centre. The punters here were entirely British, repeat visitors, mostly in their 70s and all quite capable of reserving a sun-bed from very early in the morning! Early to bed early to rise as they say. I would estimate there were 100+ towels down, with not a single person to be seen on them by breakfast time. Worse still, many did not claim their reservations 'in person' until late in the day. Selfish as a word doesn't cover it. Ignorant doesn't either. We saw signs telling punters not to do this, but they were not in clear sight. Each day we struggled to find the last two free beds in near-vacant pool areas. Turning to the breakfasts; despite other positive reviews, we though it a little under-par. (Certainly not as tasty and varied as last year at the Club Turc next door.) There are plenty of restaurants within half a mile and one convenience store open until 10pm daily. There was a metre square sign at the entrance to our accommodation stating that no outside food or drink could be brought in and 'we will take it'! But then why would you want to buy a bottle of water at nearby shop when it's only 4x the price in the hotel?! We had heard of this warning from others visiting Turkey but hadn't seen it up front until now. We still smuggled bits in - but why should you have to? After all a hotel should be like a home from home

“Great grounds”

Beautiful hotel grounds and 3 pools. Rooms a bit dated but clean and comfy. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. Labour 15/20 min walk into town go by the river and call in a few bars lovely. The rooms where cleaned every day. They do lunches at the bar.

Arrived at the Keskin in the early hours of the morning. Check in was fast and efficient. Shown to our room in the attic. First impressions were it was large but dated. Arrived at the Keskin in the early hours of the morning. Check in was fast and efficient. Shown to our room in the attic. First impressions were it was large but dated. Went to the bathroom and found someone had been to the toilet previously and had not flushed the toilet. The bracket for the shower was in the shower cubicle on the floor. Tired we went to bed only to find that the curtains would not close due to being in the loft, you closed them and they opened themselves. Next morning we complained and were told it would be sorted. The breakfast had a good choice probably the best i have had in turkey. The grounds were beautiful and had three pools to choose from. Sun beds were at a premium, if you went after 1000hours you were would struggle to get one. After three days the issues with room were not sorted. My wife spoke to the owner and he apologised, he said he would give us the best room in the hotel and would let us stop in it on our last day for free and not pay the fee to come the room on. True to his word he did. It was like a different holiday now. Amazing room with a pool view. The food and drink in the hotel were good value. We ate and drank in the hotel regularly. The location was excellent close to the river and about 8 minute walk to the resort centre. Overall if i was to have the nice room i would go back in a heart beat. If i had the first room i would not.
