Guests at Ephesia Holiday Beach Club say: Arrival:
-Upon arriving, we were given different wristbands (green for 18+) (yellow for >18) (so drunk, noisy teenagers shouldn't be much of a problem!).
-Then, workers dropped myself and my family outside our hotel blocks via golf karts, and were very keen to carry suitcases to rooms. However the golf karts were more to show us where our rooms were and not because of the distance from reception, as the hotel can all easily be navigated via foot quickly.
Food:
-The majority of the food selection from the restaurant is more aimed towards Turkish tastes (as most travellers seemed to come from those surrounding areas). However you will always be able to find something as there is always chips, bread, pide and fruit available at the restaurant. And throughout the week, pasta, beef, kebab and other things as one of the dishes on separate days.
-However, from 12:30 to late afternoon there are snacks bars serving chips, burgers, spaghetti Bolognese, nuggets, pizza, if that is more your thing.
-Also, one thing you may not realise is that for one of the days of your stay you can book a table at one of the resort's a la carte restaurants, with a choice of Chinese, fish, italian and some others. However the service we received was incredibly slow but the food definitely makes up for it in its quality.
-Unfortunately, if you want an ice cream, you have to wait for 2:30 for the ice cream bar to open (it's just an ice cream freezer) and only really offers a selection of 2 packaged ice creams, instead of scoops of ice cream.
-Fortunately, as for the drinks, there was a large variety of cocktails and many of the times we ordered them, they were quite strong, contrary to the typical watered down ones you get on holiday.
-Note, all of the the drinks, even soft, are not self serve, but if you fancy water, there is an ice bowel with mini water bottles at the end of each bar to help yourself to.
-Also, there will always be an opportunity to get a drink as some of the bars are nearly always open.
Beach:
-At least when I went, there was often lots of availability of sunbeds on the beach. Of which are free to use as they belong to the hotel.
-There are a choice of water sports to do on the beach, such as jetskis, boat tour, ring on the back of a boat, banana thing on the back of the boat, wakeboarding, parasiling etc. You can check these out by visiting the hut on the left side of the beach. I personally chose jetskiing, which cost around €50-€70 depending on what horsepower jet ski you wanted. However we were able to do a 130hp jet ski and 180hp for €100 as a deal. It was a fun experience for the children, as most children under 18 are allowed on these with adults.
Rooms:
-We chose the superior room with sea view, so I can only speak on behalf of these. The view of the sea was definitely really nice, however there was the swiggly-shape pool right below us, however fortunately the balcony doors are soundproof, and that pool never really gets too noisy. Also, I don't believe people would start entering it at least until 10am. So noise was never a problem for our room.
-Also, there is a little panel by the door to choose whether you want cleaning or do not disturb. As for the cleaning, I found it to be spotless. One of the cleaners even left my personal blanket in a bow shape on the bed, which was sweet.
-However, I must mention the pillows are very very thick, which I only bring up as I've never felt a pillow this crazily voluminous. So if you are a thick pillow person, you will find the beds to be a dream come true!
-In addition, there is a mosque nearby so sometimes we would get woken up around 5am to the call of prayer, however this was never disruptingly noisy, it only woke me as I am a light sleeper but the air con can easily block it if you don't want to be disturbed.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Ephesia, especially the resort's beach as it is truly picturesque (especially the views as the sun sets in the evening as there is a wonderful mix of colours). And even though the waves can be a little noisy at times on the beach, especially in the afternoon as the day goes on, it definitely provides a relaxing atmosphere to sunbathe on the loungers. Definitely worth trying, especially if you are in search of a family holiday as there is an aspect of the resort perfect for all different ages, whether that be cocktails, slides, pools, excursions to the nearby ruins or town centre (from the Dolmus bus stop opposite the hotel), or comfort.

“What a shame”
Stayed here a week ago. Food not the best, restaurant needs updating. Staff didn't rush to clean tables or replace the cutlery. Housekeeping only made the beds, even left the clean bedding for us to change. Room wasn't swept for the whole week we were there. Entertainment staff were constantly ... more
