The Italian outdoor restaurant is very nice, I had a very delicious dinner with live music. The staff-members are very friendly and the service is over the top. I will definitly have a dinner again there. I enjoyed 100 % finest Turkish hospitality!

“Fails to match its prices”

The hotel is recently refurbished. The hotel is recently refurbished. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, beach is nice and the sea is beautiful, breakfast and choice of food at breakfast is good, staff are polite BUT the hotel fails to get the details right. Firstly, the bedsheets and pillow cases were clean, but they smelled rather odd and not fresh. It's probably the detergent they use but it wasn't pleasant. There are problems with the service, attentiveness, and variety of food especially at dinner. It's clear that staff need more training and organising. Cheapest wine on the menu is 80 Euros. There are no cheaper alternatives. Not much choice for vegetarians apart from pasta and pizza dishes, and even they are not done at a good standard. I had a penne arrabbiata that tasted like Chinese take away! My soup starter and main course came at the same time. Our condiments (oils, bread, olives) also arrived with starters. They need to get the basics right if they want to charge high end prices. Also, you aren't allowed (yes you read it right, "not allowed" ) to bring food from outside to the hotel. They claim that it's for health and safety and insurance, etc. but the main reason is that if they "allow" you to do it, they can't sell their overpriced food to you. I travel a lot and stay in luxury hotels; never in my life I was stopped by the door and told to leave my food behind. Well, it happened at Swissotel! Service on the beach is very poor. There aren't enough staff to take orders and bring them over. Also, hot drinks and cold ones come from different places. If you order a coffee and two beers, coffee comes first and you need to fight to get the beers, but before everything, the bill arrives first!!! First two days of our stay our beers came on time with a cooler, cold plastic glasses and nuts. Gradually, in later days we were lucky if we get two bottles of beers on time - no cooler, no cold glasses, no nuts. We also asked for an iron and an ironing board to our room in two separate occasions, both of which it took us two phone calls and around half an hour wait to get a small board with a well used rather dirty iron. The hotel is cashing in from the location, the beach and the brand name. It's a nice hotel and I would consider going back if the service, food variety and quality match the prices they charge.
