First time i got there, i had time for some dinner as it closed at 9pm, i was picked up from the airport and dropped to hotel, after checking out what was left i had a tiny bit of chicken and a cold beer, after eating i headed back to reception to get checked in and chauffeured up to room, i got a lovely room with the sunrise on every morning and up to 7hrs of sun everyday, each morning id venture on a walk around the grounds for some exercise and a walk to the beach, then head in for some lunch in the afternoon, attend the bar afterwards or mearly have a relaxing read at the lobby lounges provided. There was a spa and a ladies pampering room, a small gym area also. There was a games area for kids and a pool table for adults and children. There also was a non smoking area beside the hotel reception and a cocktail bar were you could smoke in, at the bar area you could smoke also, very different from being back home here in ireland or the UK, as smoking is prohibited in any hotel or shopping mall, everywhere really. The hotel itself was a little outdated but the people that worked there made it all work, Every person works so hard to make everyone happy, the smiles from them make u feel happy. The restaurant area had plenty to see as its decor was lovely and charming, the chandeliers were so beautiful and the long drapping curtains, to the table settings, either for breakfast or lunch and dinner, everytime on entry we were or i was treated like a king, the food prepared looked so lovely, the salad bar to desserts to the fruit stand, bread stalls and coffees, beverages and Italian style area, this is we're ot all started for me, they had lovely chef's men and women that cooked your favourite dishes right in front of you, there was a Tunisian area that had hot pots too. My favourite was the Italian quarter were i seen the most beautiful smile, her name was Rehab, oh lord, i was shown so many food preps and got to see her expertise on her cooking and made me some amazing food everyday, her skills were outstanding and her smile was so heartwarming, definitely a chef to keep in the kitchen and serve to your forecoming guest in many years to come, very well spoken and Rehab English was really great too, i enjoyed learning a few recipes and have brought some home also, the rest of the chefs were fantastic too, in all there different ways, the waiters were extremely nice and would go out of there way to help you with anything you needed, excellent hotel mannerisms here. The room was lovely too, with balcony over looking the Port of Kantaoui, there was a tv that you could bring your own usb connection or u can rebt a remote from the reception to watch normal tv. There was a big bathroom with mirror and bath combined with shower and separate toilet just next door to it. The pool area out back was really inviting, it has a young childrens pool and a main pool for adults or older children. There were kids play area and slids into pool for everyone too. There was a laneway to the beach with lovely trees and flowers along the way. The beach had its own beach house with sun loungers and a little bar area. The beach and sea was beautiful, very clear sea and randon camels or horses to get on or walk along the beach. Back at hotel they had a spa and ladies pampering room, i did use the spa and everything is so cheap, lovely professional men and women doing the spa treatments, also an indoor heated pool incase the weather wasnt good. For me it was a Christmas and New Year trip, the hotel had two superb venues on both days Christmas eve and New Years eve, beautiful food and entertainment, 100% excellent the staff were so professional in every way.

Took 2 hours to get here by coach , room is basic , one coat hanger , no kettle or iron , it’s cold here at night , you need a jacket for sure , New Year’s Eve had planned meal , spent next 2 days on toilet . Wi-Fi sporadic , tv was 30 years old had no remote and kept packing up . Thermostat was broken and unable to heat room . But plenty of covers in the wardrobe with one hanger in . Bar service good -tho often run out of everything . All staff I’ve found to be helpful and friendly, probably friendliest I’ve known on any trip . No itinerary in room , took 3 days to realise there’s a gym here . Food is average , after being ill I stuck to rice and bread and cheese . Restaurant staff friendly and always top up drinks . I went all inc and so all in all got what I paid for . But it’s not a 4 star hotel , dated decor and you can hear people either side and above rooms . Cleaning staff good , kept supplying me toilet roll and water first 2 days

Cheap and cheerful hotel. Not bad for what we paid. Excellent animation staff, and fantastic staff all round, cannot do enough for you. This includes housekeeping, who always made sure there was enough toilet rolls and fresh towels. For the price we were paying I expected wifi to only work in main lobby, so got a holiday sim (can get these from airport or hotel shop, great price, lots of data, well worth the money), but wifi worked throughout all parts of the hotel I was in, and only occasionally dropped for a while. Christmas Eve gala was a great experience. 6 course waiter meal with entertainment before and throughout. Great experience and event! Food was really good. Yes it gets a bit predictable, but was always lots to choose from and very tasty. Enjoyed having a bath every day as I don't own one at home, although I heard that I was in a minority for having a bathplug, as heard several people say they had a bath but no plug, something the hotel could easily sort. Room was very spacious and in good condition. No issues with nearby noise thankfully. Lights in corridor are motion sensored so will come on as you walk by. So don't panic if you think you'll be walking in the dark. Room heating not great, even though it was a chilly time of year, but 2 spare heavy blankets in the wardrobe did the trick. Fresh water provided in the room every day. The biggest highlight as mentioned above was the staff who put so much effort into making sure that the guests had a good experience. I knew to expect cheap and cheerful, but in many ways it did exceed my expectations.
