“I would love to return”
This is a 3 start Hotel in Sousse, very nice beach. Food was excellent, we had breakfast and dinner. I our group, most of the guest stayed here before. The rooms and service are very basic, still very good value for money. Very kind staff, I would love to return.

So felt pretty apprehensive about going reading recent reviews but as a family of 4 from the UK 2 adults and 2 children 13&16 it wasn’t that bad. Firstly it is a 3* hotel and expectations were relatively average. The hotel itself is pretty dated, as you go to your room the corridors gave me hospital vibes but it’s ok. The hotel could do with a decent upgrade/ lick of paint. Could do with having AC in the main reception but you could sit at the roof terrace which was good. 5/10: Food as with most holidays I’ve been on is pretty repetitive. Some days it felt like a high school canteen. Also they need to prepare the food and get it out quickly as you could be queuing for 5-8 mins. You do have to get your own drinks which on the first 2 days was like warm but then cold. We’d tip the waiter and they would be happy to go get our drinks and the lovely waiters made a real effort with us throughout. They don’t do toast just bread rolls and baguettes. Aqua park: 10/10 great fun for the kids. There were lifeguards there and no issues. The all inclusive bars were either at the beach which wasn’t far away from the main pool or outside reception but not outside the main pool. You had to pay extra which wasn’t too expensive . They don’t give towels at this hotel so take your own or you can buy them or use the room towels. Also the drink cups are small but some people had their own so the staff were happy to fill them up. We were in the superior room which was pretty big but a tad empty re: furnitures, as we had 2 kids we needed a twin bed and the staff quickly brought one up. They sell donuts for 2 dinar just behind the slides. You can buy crepes and burgers and pizzas at the poor bar incl drinks but this isn’t part of the inclusive package. The toilets around the hotel do need a good clean as water leaking on floor which is a health hazard. Reception and hotel staff in general were great. A couple of waiters always looked angry but in general everyone was helpful. Guests do need to tip staff and they’ll look after you. We tipped only small amounts but they’d go out of their way to get us drinks etc. The parasols don’t move so if you don’t get a sunbed under one then enjoy the heat. Defo use the photographer for some good photos and they’re cheap. Hammam was AMAZING. From start to finish including the jacuzzi bath. Got a decent package from the guy who walks around. There aren’t many English people at this hotel a lot are European or from neighbouring countries. Everyone got on. The animation team were great got the guests involved in darts and other activities. There are lots of restaurants outside the hotel. Taxi to sousse medina is 5 dinar in a taxi on the meter but they tend to ask for 10 -20. So we’d always agree for 8-10. Port el Kantoui was 10 dinars. If you want to go to sidi bou seid or El Jem the best way to get there is get a taxi to sousse centre and it’s called ‘Luaje’ which is a 9 seater taxi service that goes to all the big cities. They charge like 6-12 dinars pp and they take a max 8 persons. They have central stations in all cities so you just go there and get tickets and come back. We used a train to get to Tunis which was a nightmare, took nearly 4 hours and broke down so had to get a taxi. The Luaje service don’t leave until they have a full taxi of 8 people but they fill up pretty quickly or you could buy the remaining tickets like we did and tell them to go. Overall a good holiday. Definitely not as bad as some people made out to be.
