We stayed at One Resort Jockey Hotel as a family of nine (7 adults and 2 kids) for eight nights, and it truly became one of the best holidays we’ve ever had! After arriving late (around 3 AM), we were promptly greeted and checked in by Sami at reception. We were quite hungry and initially disappointed that the 24-hour express bar only had croissants available; later, we learned that food service ends at 3 AM, so we just missed it. Our initial rooms were on separate floors, with two on the fourth floor and one on the second. The fourth floor had an unpleasant odor, dirty carpets, and one of the safes wasn’t working, which left us disappointed. When we addressed this with Sami, he assured us it would be resolved in the morning. The next day, manager Fatih immediately offered us new rooms on the second floor. Although the room change took a little time, Asma from guest relations explained they were preparing everything to ensure it was perfect. From that point on, our stay only got better, turning our holiday from frustration into pure enjoyment. Every staff member was kind and helpful, especially the wonderful reception team. A special thanks to Janet, who went above and beyond, tirelessly making numerous calls to the transfer company when my brother left his suitcase at the airport. Thanks to her efforts, we managed to get it back. We’re also grateful to Sumayah and Olfa, and to the lovely Ayman, who, though initially a bit grumpy, soon warmed up and shared plenty of laughs with us. Special shoutouts to the housekeeping, waiters, bartenders, and all hotel staff who work tirelessly, always with a smile. Our cleaner, Madame Fawzia, was wonderful, always leaving our rooms spotless with charming towel displays. The animation team kept the atmosphere lively, with activities for everyone. And Yahya, the lifeguard, was a standout – he spent hours with our kids teaching them to swim, for which we’re so grateful. The hotel’s shop was also a highlight! Hamdi and Tarek in the shop were incredible; they spent around 30 minutes setting up our sim cards, even when it was challenging. They wouldn’t accept any money for their help, showing genuine kindness that left us truly touched. Aziz and Omar were equally friendly and helpful. Sana from guest relations checked in on us regularly, organising our a la carte restaurant visits and ensuring everything was perfect. While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, a few minor improvements would make it even better. The hotel would benefit from more pool inflatables for the kids especially inflatable boats for use on the big slides, a refresh of the carpets in the hallways, and some attention to flickering electricity in the rooms. In the canteen, having glasses readily available near the drinks machine would make things smoother. We also found the wait time for our new rooms a bit long, though the staff were very accommodating. An added bonus would be a sauna, steam room, and gym included in the all-inclusive package. As an English-speaking family, we noticed most of the entertainment was in French. While understandable, adding some English activities could broaden the experience, though our kids still loved the nightly mini disco regardless of the language! Overall, this is a fantastic hotel where everyone genuinely cares about making your stay memorable. With just a few adjustments, One Resort Jockey Hotel could easily be 5 stars. We’ll definitely be back!
