Me and my partner spent a week here and I’ll start with the positives overall hotel appeared clean room cleaned daily food was plentiful and never struggled to find something to eat, drinks are average, staff friendly and will try to help when possible/needed Negatives the area had a massive mosquito problem after the recent rain which wasn’t the hotels fault but they didn’t bother spraying so this became unbearable at times they also had turned all the air conditioning off so again this didn’t help with the mass off mosquitoes/flys. We stayed in garden bungalows which were very dated but as mentioned cleaned regularly. Entertainment was hit and miss some days plentiful other non existent. Hotel shops very overpriced so avoid if possible and avoid the hotel excursions guy he is a rip off merchant trying to sell tours triple/quadruple the price they should be. Definitely not a 4star hotel stayed in similar 2/3 star hotels.

Review Me and my partner visited One Resort El Mansour for just over a week and first thing to make clear is this is not a 4* hotel and most definitely a 3* hotel. We had 2 entertainers ask us to leave a review on the hotel on two different occasions. We obliged the first time, but he ensured it was the perfect review, taking our phones, marking everything as 5* and asked to read over our comments to ensure it was to his liking. He even had my partner remove a sentence he felt wasn’t fully positive. He swore he gained nothing from it, but took a screenshot of the submission screen and later that day we were asked by another entertainer. It’s clear the hotel must put this to them to do, so I would take many of the positive reviews on here with a pinch of salt. The food is always hot, but for a buffet, the lack of options really was a let down. Breakfast was the exact same everyday which is to be expected, but due to the lack of options, we found ourselves getting bored of having the same thing. As for lunch and dinner, the options were the exact same each time, and again due to the lack of options, your lunch and dinner would end up being the same each time everyday. We felt the drinks were awful, mostly the cocktails were the usual sex on the beach, piña colada, but tasted nothing like the usual. The beer wasn’t to my liking. Perhaps the most annoying thing is, the size of the cups you get a drink in, perhaps for a 5 year old, this a good size but you find yourself finishing it in 3 mouthfuls and having to constantly go back and fourth to the bar. The customer service on the whole was awful. In the buffet, once tables were cleared, they were never reset, meaning we had to find our own knife and folks, or ask to then be told where to find them. I’ve never experienced this. Likewise by the pool, due to it raining different days, the cushions would be put away and the lifeguard would happily watch visitors sit on the rock hard sunbeds and if asked about a cushion, would point where to get them. I even see him tell an older woman where to get one. The entertainers try their best, but it is rather amateurish, we see the same performances multiple times in just a week. Other 4* hotels we’ve been to have professionals dancers/ singers and you can really tell the difference. The hotel is very clean, just the room we were in was more on the dated side. One last thing to note, is if you’re travelling from London, the transfer is 4 hours from TUNIS, which is not the hotels fault but when speaking to many other guests, we all had the impression when originally booking that it was only an hour away.
