Stayed October 2 adults 1 week. We had an absolute fantastic chilled and relaxed time. Hotel wonderful - clean, spacious, both authentic and modern. Grounds were very large with plenty of palm trees and paths around the site. It is not an adult only hotel but classed as “adult focused” which I guess means not geared up for children, even though there were a few around during our stay. So many good things about the hotel have been said before me with which I agree Good location to get to both Yasmine Hammamet and Hammamet by taxi. Staff from reception to the housemaid all were so very friendly and helpful. Reception Salah and Sameh were very efficient and would have a chat every time you went past, and help with any questions. Lobby/Atrium Was huge had the main bar there. Evening entertainment was not very good, lacked a little atmosphere maybe because there did not seem too many in the hotel. Bar drinks were ok given a small plate of cheesy snacks to go with your drink. Rooms We had sea view on the 5th floor – it was huge, great views, large telly, walk in wardrobe, plenty of hangers, a fridge stocked with drinks and safe. Bath and separate shower. Bed was also huge and very comfortable. Cleaner came as you needed her by leaving note on the door. Pools and Beach 3 pools No music (great) so peaceful! main pool had plenty of sun beds/umbrellas for everyone during our time, no need to put towels down early. Man came to greet you with cushions for the bed and fresh towels if needed. Water was cold. There was also a smaller quite pool round the side of the hotel and also a very small pool just past the indoor one. Pool bar was close by which served drinks but had the facility to serve food in the summer months with seating looking out to the beach. A path leads to the beach which has a bar (closed on 1st Nov) and seating. Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. During our week it was a little windy so the waves had brought in a bit of seaweed, otherwise the sand was fine and golden. Restaurant LONG TROUSERS ARE A MUST FOR MEN AT EVENING MEALS Food was very good at all meal times with plenty of choice, including local recipes. Theme nights during the week. Sometimes the food was luke warm, (maybe because turnover of food was slow as not many in hotel) Our waiters were great Nomdher and Sabour looked after us outside on the terrace and had our table and drinks ready for us it was funny when we said we would try a different wine now and again.!! The Ala Carte meal had a very good choice and was very good – worth booking All in all a wonderful hotel to relax and be spoilt no complaints at all and would recommend it to anyone wanting the same. We have travelled the world, but this is by far our favourite hotel. We have just returned from yet another fabulous stay at this beautiful, well run hotel. We would like to thank the management and all of the staff for looking after us whilst staying with you last week. Our room was awesome with fantastic views across the pool and the beach. The front desk manager Salah, did a wonderful job and catered for all of our requests and requirements. The restaurant offered a wide variety of fresh food at every sitting and Ameur, restaurant duty manager, always greeted us with a smile and again catered for our every need. The striking lobby bar was without doubt our favourite place to spend our evenings with other guests and the amazing bar staff. In particular Salah, made every visit special. Thank you again Hotel Oceana Spa & Suites for making our latest stay one of our best holidays we have ever had. We look forward to seeing you all next year. Keith and Judy Durn

The hotel is nice has spacious rooms with sea view terraces but is aged. Some showers and other equipment needs to be renovated. Nice pools and overall friendly staff. Only at pool bar crew was lazy and unfriendly. Food was very good and a lot of variation during a week. However we also report 2 negative things 1) a staff member ( calling himself sports coordinator) behaved badly towards women, for instance took fotos from my wife without her consent and made uncomfortable compliments when I was not around. 2) the restaurant and bar crew was disappearing and not trying to calm down 2 disputes we have seen/ one even with a bad harassment of a small boy by a tourist lady and consequent reaction of his father.

Pros - Stayed here for 6 nights, the hotel itself is really quite stunning, some say outdated but I liked it. The room was absolutely huge with a lovely balcony and an enormous bed. The buffet dinner was lovely and different every night. Cons - First thing I noticed was the room being so hot, I asked reception if we can use the aircon to which she said no, she also said they had no fans yet the rooms were so hot at night. -Despite the dinner being lovely, the desserts were awful. ** The biggest let down** We were aware of the tipping culture in Tunisia but this hotel took it to the next level. You were constantly being monitored and followed to make sure you tipped. All staff seem to know when your flight back is which is beyond weird to make sure you tip before leaving. In simple words, the more you tip the better they treat you. We even had the chef run after us before we left to see where his tip was. - A man working in the hotel approached us and asked if we would like a free trip to hammamet. We went and soon realized it was a huge con. He took us to a carpet market where he obviously had a side hustle with the man who owned it. There was no way you couldn't leave without a rug! Overall, it is a lovely hotel but nothing feels very genuine or that they really care how your experience is. It's all just about the money.
