We stayed at The Leaf from 18/12 till 31/12. Initially we were a bit disappointed in the room, we had a bungalow, as it smelt of damp. However the next day there was a dehumidifier and a key to leave the aircon on constantly which cleared this up. Once we got our bearings we realised that it was the best situated hotel for the area. Literally 3 minute walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. Both pools were brilliant. Special mention to Pai who ran the pool bar as he was brilliant. All the staff were amazing. The walk to the beach is ok but its quicker to cut along the back of the larger hotels if you want to reach the lighthouse end of the beach. We liked it so much we will be back again next year.

An Absolute "Must Stay" if Your looking for recommendations in Khao Lak area. The Place,The Area,The Accomdation,The Staff,The Food ,Everything was just Perfect. Nothing was to much trouble for any of the Staff,they where pleasant,helpful and consistent with their Efficiency for the Duration of Our stay,what Assets. The Food was Top Notch and catered for Every Dietary need,the Rooms where clean,comfortable and complete with Air Con. The main street was just minutes away and the Shops featured Supermarkets to Legal Weed Shacks. Taxis & Tut Tuts always available with reasonable prices,these where always ordered from Reception. All Our Tours,Elephants,James Bond Island,Turtle Santuary to name a few where All organised or recommended by the Visiting TUI Rep (Teddy) or by the Staff themselves. You Wont Be Disappointed !

“Ok if you are on a budget”

We stayed here as we like to travel around but didn't realise just how far from the beach it was. About a 25/30 minute walk. Check in was the worst I have ever experienced, we waited for just over 4 hours in the lobby for our room, not a good start! Staff disinterested. Breakfast was ok, didn't eat… more

We stayed here as we like to travel around but didn't realise just how far from the beach it was. About a 25/30 minute walk. Check in was the worst I have ever experienced, we waited for just over 4 hours in the lobby for our room, not a good start! Staff disinterested. Breakfast was ok, didn't eat in the Italian as I went to Thailand for the food. Pools small and over crowded, the usual rubbish of towels at dawn but not using the seats till after midday , room ok, bed awful.

Arrived pm to quick check in. Room was a end block upper floor so the bell boy helped with cases. Arrived pm to quick check in. Room was a end block upper floor so the bell boy helped with cases. It's a rather old hotel with alot of old guests I mean old grumpy over 70s what just sit n stare you out. Booked 1 trip with Rita tripth pink posh place on main strip and James bond with jantra tours (ying) about 3 shops down she's lovely too. We had lizards every where n wasps n huge chuffing moths . Complained about wasps n was given a 35pound food voucher for Italian which was nice after 6 days of Thai food. Cleaning was spot on n beach towels n wager n coffee n tea.maid only left a decoration on last day with a bye note obvs for a tip cheeky cheeky. Not a bad place very central n peaceful although smoking drugs stinks n they should stop it . We couldn't use balcony cos of wasps good job cos the smell was awful. No1 ever hardly cleaned the dead wasps on hallways n was awful. Place is nice clean n peaceful we wished we chose the sands instead !
