My husband and I stayed at Moracea Resort and Spa for 11 days recently in a Beachfront Zeavola Cabin. This is our sixth visit and yet again definitely did not disappoint. The staff are incredibly friendly, and it was a pleasure to catch up with staff we had met previously. The resort is set into the hills and is surrounded by lush vegetation. There are choices for swimming pools which are lovely, and the surrounds are well maintained. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices for all nationalities. Cocktails by the beach are a must to watch the incredible sunsets. It is a short walk into Khao Lak with many bars and restaurants to choose from. The resort provide water in the rooms in glass bottles, perhaps this could be replicated in the restaurant as well or provide access to the water cooler that is available at breakfast. We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful resort and will definitely be back. Thanks for everything.

“Great locaton in the "green”

Great location in the middle of nature. Super friendly staff and great facilities such as room service and drive to and from hotel room, which can be handy as the terrain is hilly!! Thai and European kitchen and super luxurious breakfast. More than enough pools and bars to choice from.

Recently returned from a 10 night stay at the Moracea. Firstly, the Moracea Resort is beautiful, well-maintained, spacious and well-positioned. The gardens and grounds are outstanding and the staff work really hard to maintain these. The pool areas are beautiful, we did not have any problems with loungers but we did visit out of season. The beach is lovely, but the sea was very rough we could not snorkel and sometimes not even swim in it, this was probably due to the time of year we visited. Because of this it also meant that a lot of plastic debris was washed on to the beach – the hotel staff did their best to keep the beach clean however this was a very difficult task as each day more debris came in. The staff at the resort are without doubt the most friendly, helpful, genuinely lovely people we have ever met on a holiday anywhere in the world. They work hard, are attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them. We found this to be the same in restaurants we visited outside the resort too. We upgraded to a Zeavola Deluxe Beach Front bungalow, this was absolutely stunning, the décor, toiletries, robes, and little extra touches really made a big difference. Well worth the upgrade. The housekeeping staff, again, are absolutely outstanding. Our room was cleaned meticulously everyday. The hotel restaurant is very good, a few of the bars were closed because of it being low season, but we ate in the restaurant a number of times. I cannot understand why people are criticising the breakfast, it was varied, ample and of a very high quality. We saw loads of different wildlife around the resort, including lizards, chipmunks, frogs and even a little snake! On the downside, when we arrived at 7.30 am after the long journey we asked if we could have breakfast and were told we could not and that our room would not be available until 2.00pm. This was very frustrating because we were absolutely exhausted and just wanted to have a shower and a rest and maybe some food. Please bear this in mind and check your flight arrival times etc, the rooms are not vacated until 12.00 and then they are cleaned. We just got loungers and slept by the pool. The local restaurant the Gold Elephant is also very good and excellent value for money and within walking distance. Would we return to Moracea? Absolutely, in a heartbeat we had a great experience on the whole and cannot fault the staff or the surroundings. 5 star? Probably not but deffo 4.5.
