This place is heaven on earth! So peaceful and so private. The place is immaculate and the staff are amazing! The standard is second to none here! Great location with lots to do in the area. Shops are really close by too. We will be returning here for sure!

The pool has jacuzzi ducts as well - The kitchen is separate from the bedroom - The bathroom is quite spacious - Staff are very helpful - Motorbikes are available on request for extra charge - Big common pool - Smart TV Cons- - Cleaning can be improved inside the bathroom and associated areas - Kitchen cabinets are open where all kinds of insects can roam around. - Boxes should be provided to store cleaned utensils. - A small restaurant (maybe a pool side) is recommended

“The Perfect Place to Self Isolate”

I was looking for somewhere to stay on Koh Samui that met the following criteria: * somewhere comfortable where I could self isolate with the minimum of contact with others; * where I could prepare my own meals; * close to the airport while I sorted out flights out of Samui; * where I could stay for an indefinite amount of time. Samui Boat Lagoon ticked all the boxes. After checking in and one of the staff showing me how everything worked, I did not need to interact with them again until I checked out. There was no walking through hotel lobbies with lots of people. Every villa was very private with a high fence all around. Inside was a large bedroom with a king size bed and plenty of wardrobe space, and the largest bathroom I think I have ever seen, with a walk-in shower and twin wash basins. There is an area outside under cover for sitting and a table and two chairs. The amenities include an electric jug, toaster, microwave, cook-top, sink and a good size fridge. Along with pots and pans, plates and cutlery and even a first aid kit. The TV is in this section. Between this living area and the bedroom is your very own plunge pool with two sun lounges and umbrella. If you like to swim laps there is a huge public pool just a few meters away. There is direct beach access which is usually quite deserted, a car park and is walking distance to a 7/11 shop for basic needs The staff can arrange the rental of a motor bike or car if needed. Best of all is the proximity of the airport with a booking office just ten minutes drive away. Samui Boat Lagoon will be open for all of April and there were some other guests who were stuck trying to get international flights home who had decided to extend their holiday and had booked in for a month. For me this was a safe and comfortable haven in these very challenging and uncertain times.

We stayed at the Samui boat lagoon for 5 nights in March. They arranged pick up at Samui airport and it’s a short drive to the accommodation. On check in the first words out of the receptionist mouth was “you’ll have to change villa tomorrow at 2pm as we have a guest arriving h who has resisted the villa your staying in and we are fully booked” as you can imagine, not a great start and I advised that my booking had been made 14 months ago so there really was no need for this to happen!!! I really wasn’t getting anywhere with it! Wouldn’t say customer service is great here. The villas however are lovely as you have an outside kitchen area and obviously a lovely plunge pool. However they certainly aren’t the cleanest I’ve been in and found I was antibacterial spraying every service, don’t forget this isn’t an SHA+ accommodation and now I can see why! If there’s one thing I can advise is to bring a suitcase full of mosquito repellent! The mosquitoes are the worst I’ve ever seen and I know Samui has a tropical climate so it’s to be expected but it doesn’t help that you have an outside shower (which is lovely) but what isn’t lovely is that there is no drainage for the water to run away, it just runs into soil beside the shower and this is where the mosquitoes are nesting…not nice at all! There is no bar or restaurant at the property however you can order in or walk a couple of minutes down the road to a place called stop@sopa. The food is absolutely beautiful as is the staff! Very good pricing too. There also a 7 11 at the end of the driveway to the property. It Also states that the property is right on the beach…..it’s not, given it’s only a 2 minute walk away but it certainly isn’t a beach for lounging, it’s more of a working beach. So going back to the changing of villas. We we told a time between 12 &2 that we had to pack our stuff up again and move so really that day was wasted as we had to pack our things up again and move to another villa and then unpack again. the reception isn’t 24/7 either so for example our safe wouldn’t open, all of our cards and money was in there and thankfully it was 5.30pm when we noticed so ran down to the reception where they were packing up to leave for the night, if we’d missed them we wouldn’t have been able to go for dinner that night, there is literally no one else to speak to when the reception closes! If it wasn’t for the fact we had a private pool I would certainly not be staying here again as I think you can get better value for money elsewhere. It states in the little book we had in our villa that they strongly advise scooter rental, I don’t see why as it’s like every other small island. As long as you know how to ride and wear a helmet you’ll be fine, if you didn’t have s scooter you’d be stranded!!!!
