Well well, phi phi island itself is a beautiful and tranquil island with clear blue water. This rustic wooden build hotel nestled calmly at the side of a hill beside the beach. the arrangement itself create a vacation feeling when arrived. One need to get wooden boat ride once arrived at the main piers (Tonsai Piers). Me and my friend personally arrived from mainlaind via ferry from Kong Jilad Krabi pier. To start with, Kong Jilad Pier itself looks new and updated. Ample space for parking where i left my car there for 4 days unharm. Back to the Tonsai Piers, once arrived there the hotel staff hold a sign board for visitor to catch boat. Unfortunately our arrival welcomed by a moderate heavy rain. While waiting on the jetty, we saw lots of travellers passed by mainly whites foreigner. There were also workers going to and back on the jetty to get goods or supply for the island. The staff provide us with an umbrella. After a while we got onto the wooden boat and off we went to the resort. The journey itself took around 10-15minutes. Along the way we can see other resorts nestled along the beach or by the hills. I was mesmerized by the blue jaded water. Precisely the hotel located at the Long Beach. Basically it is opposite to Monkey bay and can see the Koh Phi Phi Lee to the left side where famous Maya bay located. Once arrived at the hotel’s jetty, we were brought onto a tuk tuk (toyota hilux) to the hotel’s lobby. It was near around 100m and although for me it was unecessary, it did feel welcoming and somehow luxurious. Checked in was smooth and we were assign to the room on the side of the hill. The tuk tuk sent us there. Our room view is not bad although it was obstructed by some trees. The room itself rustic and old design with a large bathroom which in modern design can fix another room. Robe provided and amazingly all ameneties functioning well. As the room build on wooden floor.. we could hear our neighbour steps and talk. The room also has connecting door. For the first night we tiptoing in our room afraid our neighbour might be some old guest and we may disturb them as they probably dozed off early. Anyway, upon arrival, once settled we off to the beach to hang out. There were 2 swimming pools. One beside the restaurants and another one at the diving centre. We njoyed the one at the diving centre most of our stays. The sunset there were good but not as majestic as it located on right side from the resort and not stratergically straight. During the days we just hangout by the beach. The beach benches were sufficient for guests and only for guests.Most were white foreigner either couple or families. Breakfirst buffet spread quite a variety and delicious too. Im not sure it halal or not, thus i avoid the meats. We had dinner daily at the hotel restaurants. Kudos to chef. All the dinner menu i ate were scrumptious including their tomyum, pad thai, soup. There were also fire performance at night. For those who crave for party life, may as well proceed to the main pier. Wooden boat are always available but the price for tranfer is much higher late at night. We stayed in. It was nice,calm and private. There were also tour provided at the resort, we took private boat tour half day ( forgot the price) we went to the koh phi phi lee to visit Maya Bay and the surrouding area of the island swimming and snorkeling. Memorable moment but the coral not as great in Perhentian Island Malaysia that ive seen before. There was also massage available. It was absolutely not dissapointing experience. I even dozed off during the session.Add on note, one have to remember the pathway to the room as there are terraces which lead to almost same looking villa. Few time we got confused and lost but we always got to our room but in panting. Due to our interest to this place we continued to stay here for one more night. After bargaining with the english speaking recepcionist lady we got an acceptable price. Bare in mind that march was high season where the prices of hotel across thailand sky high. Initially we were provided with the room near the jetty by the beach, we realised that the room was smelly at night with smell of seawage. Thus we cant sleep and i went straight to the reception and they immidiately ordered us the tuk tuk and we back to our old room to spend the last night there. No price increment placed. How great was their hospitality. Upon tranfer out i opted to walk to the jetty not taking the tuk tuk to enjoy the last moment of the resort .All and all i will definitely be back here one fine day.
