Overall a decent hotel. Good for a trip that is for a week or less. The hotel is clean and has lovely staff. Round by the pool it’s nice we came last week of august and the pool is not super busy at all. We were able to get a sunbed everyday without having to reserve one (as it’s not aloud). There is a lovely lifeguard called Tina who will help you when needed and helps keep round the pool nice and tidy. The bar staff are good and recommend food from the bar at lunch as it’s very nice. There are also lots of chair in lobby/ bar area to be able to sit and have a drink. And some chair outside as well to be able to sit on. The room are clean. With cleaners that come in every morning which is a bonus. Bedroom are good size with comfy beds, the pillows are very long but are still comfy. Rooms come with a Tv, large wardrobe and safe which can pay about €15 for the week for. A desk area with draws and a mirror. Bathroom was clean overall with a few minor flaws. Shower pressure is not brilliant but is good enough. There is also a bath. The balcony is nice we had a good sea view. There is a football pitch/ training ground near by but not too noisy and all noise stopped by 9:30ish. The food at breakfast was nice with plenty options. E.g fruit, cooked breakfast, omelette, pastries. Dinner also had some good options only flaw is restaurant is basement with some windows towards top so there is some light but it’s tidy and clean down there. Location is brilliant with plenty of restaurants near by. If you walk left out hotel there is the town is large but can walk to other end in about 35 mins. There also some good shops as well. If you walk til you get to a mcdonald's then go right up a hill theres a small shopping centre with some good shops. If you go right out the hotel til end of road and then left there is a market which is good i believe it’s on a Sunday. You can walk along beach with is about 5 mins away nice views but can sadly not go in the water due it being polluted but is still lovely to walk along. If you want to go in the sea there is places in the town or a beach about 25. minute walk away I believe. Hotels about 20 mins walk from monkey parks and a small town. Would highly recommend the area and had a nice stay in the hotel. With the staff making the stay very nice.

Will start of by saying that the staff were lovely and helpful, cleaners were very friendly and did a good job of resetting the room every day. However, this is not a 4* hotel. It is incredibly dated and not as advertised on the photos on their website/loveholidays. We checked in late on our first night and the Aircon wasn't working, not a huge deal because it was cool enough with the window open, until it got to 7am and a bloke decided to rev his motorbike for 2 hours straight outside our room. This is obviously not the hotels fault and we didn't want to be a pain so didn't say anything, until it happened again the next morning and we spoke to some other people staying in the hotel who said it happens everyday (they'd stayed before). Unhappy neighbour maybe? We ended up going to reception and they quickly changed our room, which we appreciated, we ended up off the street side and on the sea side which was much quiter and the Aircon worked. Room was still very dated though. Both rooms had no fridge and 1 plug socket on the other side of the room from the bed. The TVs in both rooms were static and had black lines running through. The transfer time is 2.5 hours from South so bare that in mind. Area itself is lovely with some great resteraunts and bars, and a little shop just in front of the hotel. Pool was too cold to use (not the hotels fault) but plenty of sunbeds available and a nice outdoor seating area, breakfast was average. Definitely not a bad holiday for the price we paid but also definitely falsely advertised.

House-Keeping start approximately 7.00am & gosh, you can “HEAR” them. Poolside is quiet which I appreciated. I am not, sure, if there is enough sun-lounge(s) if the hotel was to be fully-booked. However the beach isn’t too far …. Overall for 1 week - the weather was great. So was the peace & quiet by the poolside. Met some amazing people. Whilst we have visited Puerto De La Cruz several times. It’s, unlikely, we will visit this hotel again.

“Refused breakfast and a drink we'd paid for before leaving. ”

Hotel itself was lovely and rooms were clean. Food was good in the main. We arrived late and had booked half board so a plate of bread, ham, cheese etc. was put out for us which was grest. On our last morning our transport arrived 15 mins before the kitchen opened. We were refused the breakfast we'd already paid for and also refused a drink before a 2.5 hour transfer in 25 degree weather. Receptionist and Night Porter both couldn't care less and knew it was too late to buy anything from local shops. We went hungry and thirsty until we got to the airport after being refused water also from the hotel. Absolutely disgusting, won't be returning due to this

This hotel is way back in the 80s but on saying that the staff and cleanliness are second to none and the food in my opinion was very good but my wife is a fussy eater and most of it wasn’t for her but she never went hungry. The downside are the bedrooms although nice and big with excellent air con are the beds which I found lumpy and pillows that I hate( others like them)and lack of sockets, you have to unplug the tv or hairdryer in toilet to use a socket also no fridge. The double glazing is worse than useless. The pool area is small but nice and quiet but windy and a lovely pool attendant looking after the pool towels. The hotel is a good 10/15 min walk into town but there is a great wee pavement cafe on the road( tropic burger?) just try it ( only when hungry)you will be amazed. I would recommend this hotel for cleanliness and for the food and staff but unfortunately I wouldn’t return as in the wrong area for us as is puerto de la Cruz as we only saw the sun for about 1 hour during our 9 day stay but was still 25/6 degrees.
