Really enjoyed my 4 night stay here in February. The setting is beautiful and I enjoyed exploring the grounds it's very peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast is amazing, so much choice and the restaurant is very clean. The staff are really attentive and friendly. Booked a superior studio which was really spacious and comfortable and the shower was great with really good pressure and lovely hot water. Had a swim in the main pool near the tennis court the water was not too cold and very pleasant, it's a really big pool.I did not visit the other pools as not enough time . Enjoyed a welcome drink in the 5th floor bar did not stay for the entertainment as wanted to explore the town which is also very beautiful and easy to walk down to or get the shuttle bus provided by the hotel. Taxi back up is only around €4. The only negative was that the roll out bed was very dusty underneath and looked like it had not been used for some time and the upholstery was worn. Apart from that everything was fabulous I would definitely stay here again .

Overall we enjoyed our stay here but a few things could do with being improved for us to go again. The welcome water and tea/coffee was nice, but kitchen was not very well equipped e.g. no wine glasses, no sharp knife. The tea/coffee was not refilled during our stay. Some parts of the room were a bit scruffy- chipped furniture, ripped curtains, mouldy mastic and green mould on the waterfall shower head. We saw a rat outside our room, but to be fair the receptionist was horrified and once reported it wasn't seen again. The rooms are not very well soundproofed, which is fine if guests near you are considerate, which wasn't the case on our final night. I wanted to inform reception but couldn't see their number on the room phone. During the stay I was unwell and reported this to reception, who said a bug was going round. I think it would have been helpful to discreetly advise people to take more care with hand hygiene prior to handling serving tongs at meal times etc. Finishing on the positives, the shuttle bus was a great feature, very efficient and clean - it would have been nice to have one returning later in the evening. The breakfast buffet was amazing, I've never seen so much variety! Reception, bar and restaurant staff were efficient and friendly - I was made the best gin and tonic on our first night. The Flamboyan restaurant was very stylish and a bit more special for those who are not so keen on self service. The pool was clean but a bit cool. I don't have a problem with things being old and feel there has been investment, the grounds are beautiful and there were always people carrying out maintenance. Overall a pleasant stay, thank you
