This is our 5th stay here and our "go to" place when we want a break and total switch off. Been here for 14 days and once again it's been a wonderful stay. The team are second to none and I mean everyone. They work together and friendly and genuine. The rooms are amazing with fantastic views if the Atlantic Ocean. Spotlessly clean and well furnished. Ultra comfortable bed. The food is excellent with such a varied choice. From freshly cooked steaks to carved joints to fabulous seafood and fish. The salads are delicious. Breakfast is great with eggs cooked order, fresh bread and croissants. And a cheeky glass of prosecco if you want. Our only niggle is the lift situation, only 2 and very slow, but what's the rush. I can live with that. Going home tomorrow (7th Dec) but back again on Feb 5th 2025 for 28 days. Bliss

“A very good Hotel BUT!”

We went with tui, for 9 days,1/2 board. The hotel is 20 minutes walk to town centre, with over 200 steps, and taxi back for 5-6€. We have eaten at town, for a few of nights, as there are really good restaurants with canarian architecture, and great seafood (Rustico ,Herreria Regulo Divino)highly recommended. There are a few places near by to visit with beautiful Spanish architecture and landscapes, that can be visited, like Orotava, and meson el monasterio, by bus or we hired a car, but be aware it's horrendous traffic! The hotel general is lovely, with positive and negative sides; Pros: -The hotel is lovely, with modern decorations ,nice rooms with beautiful sea view and balcony, beds and pillow are very comfortable, with walking shower and ceiling changeable colour light. -The meals are very good, with a variety to choose, although some of the cooked breakfast were cold. -A fantastic massages we had, thanks to Cand although the hotel forgot to book us at first, even we received email booking confirmation, and we have to go again for an alternative date. -My favourite is the roof top jacuzzi with the cocktail bar ,a good variety of cocktails with reasonable price(€10-12),it's absolutely great view and atmosphere . -A good and friendly staff, particularly at the vertigo bar, restaurant, the spa staff and the cleaners, BUT not the receptionists!. -We used the spa, for €15 and fantastic, and it's open to the public. -The hotel is close to shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Cons: -The bedroom shower floor leaks to the bedroom ,and when I complained the hotel sent a "technician" not sure he knew what he's doing !but he didn't solve the leak, then got email from the hotel, after complaining again, indicating that its "being resolved". Then I didn't bother to contact the front desk, as I lost my confidence and trust with the hotel and not felt comfortable to speak with the receptionists. It's bad design of the shower floor and screen as part of floor is leaning opposite to the drain gulley, hence the water will escape to the bathroom, then bedroom. -The pool water temperature was freezing cold, and when I complained 3 times to the receptionists, the answer was always the same, that's the pool is " 100% is heated "!!that is absolutely not true!, I was very disappointed, as I was looking forward to swim everyday, but I didn't as I have austuthrits. -"Some" of the receptionists may be need a course of training of how to deal with customers services, some weren't helpful and very argumentative. -Our room was at 4th floor, below the restaurant, so we hear noises of moving chairs and tables above us every day!. -at room we hear a very high sound of the sea waves, but its better when close the door, it's bad design of the balcony ,as its magnifying the sound of the waves. -From the room we can hear the noises of cleaning and talking in the corridor. -There is NO tea or coffee at the room, however there is a kettle, cups, glasses and microwave it's a shame that the hotel can provide tea and coffee, it won't cost much! -I have asked the front desk if I can borrow a plate with fork and knife, as I bought some Spanish tomatoes and fruits ,to have a snack in afternoon, BUT the receptionist refused as she said its not an apartment and suggested to buy from supermarkets, however there's a microwave and glasses at the room!. In overall its a good hotel, BUT the management would need to address some issues, and listen to the costumers for any feed back and complains. I would may be go back again sometimes, but only because of it's location and the sea view.

Loved this hotel. If you want a seaview - everyone gets one! Staff were friendly and always ready to help. We found the food lovely. It’s always samey at buffet restaurants so knew to expect that but there was a good choice. Better than others we’ve experienced. We loved the roof terrace but chose to use the pool on the ground floor for any sunbathing. There’s no parasols for the sunbeds on the roof and my husband likes a bit of shade. We had no problem getting a sun bed and reserving them isn’t permitted. You do have to rent the hotel towels but you get your €10 back when you leave so not an issue. Think this is to help prevent any sun bed hogging/reserving. And it works! Only downfall we found was that if you spent too long in the shower, the bath mat would get soaked and water would leak in to the bathroom a little. No biggie. If you’re looking for a adult only peaceful holiday, stay here. If you want on-site entertainment don’t stay here - there’s none but we liked that. Go out if you want any dancing etc. Its a bit of a trek down to Puerto but we like a walk but there are steps! And a lot of them. Taxis are cheap though I believe but we just walked. La Paz does have some bars/restaurants nearby too.

Their are good and bad points about this hotel. The good ones are.....lovely rooms, great position overlooking the sea, comfortable beds and pillows, breakfast has lots to choose from. You can ger a freshly made omelette. Pool area is clean and well maintained, roof terrace has outdoor jacuzzi and bar with amazing views!! Evening meal has plenty of choice again. 99% of the staff are fabulous and polite especially the hard working catering and waiters and waitresses i cann5 fault the service! The spa is pleasant with a few different pools. Unfortunately I didn't get to try a treatment as my massage was cancelled but to some kind of accident....letter was pushed under my room door. Now the bad points......the reception manager is rude, unhelpful and aggressive! On our first day we were sitting my the pool when we realised we needed sone sun cream, we took a short walk into the local shops about 10 min away. We were gone l3ss then 45 min and when we returned all our things were gone! We had no idea where they were or why they were gone! Msy I points out that our trip was in december and their was more then half the sun loungers empty.....we were told by the rude blonde receptionist thst were are not allowed to leave the pool area without our things which is ridiculous! Their are no signs to tell you this anywhere. So dhe told us the "life guard " had them and pointed go the outdoor bar area... I made my way over and asked who the life guard was? Well he dosent speak English and had no idea what I was saying and directed me back to reception... back i go and ahsin the blonde angry woman told me I can't leave my things alone.....OK but where are my things????? She had them all along in the office in a bag!!! I was confused what was going on here!! Oh and u can only use the hotel towels by the pool but u have to pay 10 euros to "hire" them! So I told her thdy have no right to touch my belongings and thdy should make it clear on the stupid rule!! Her reply was if u don't like it u don't have to sit by the pool!!!! 😲😲 now none of the reception staff wear name badges (i wonder why) but the rest of the staff do.....now on to the next issue!! THEY TURN THE AIRCON OFF!!!! The room was 23 degrees at night even with the patio doors open and the noise of the sea all night! We had to open our hotel room door all night to get a breeze as sleeping was impossible!! On the 3rd night their was a windy storm over night....but by 12pm the next day it had passed...blonde angry woman refused to open up any of the pools! The sun was blazing and people started to take chairs into the car park to sit outside! She angrily told them to get back inside...all the rooms are sea view but get no sun at all so it was cold to dit on your balcony....eventually after peer pressure she opened the pool at around 3pm! This woman is on a power trip...People were complaining about her to eachother... she spoils the whole experience from what wpuld have been a lovely stay in a nice 4 star hotel.. i travel often and always choose 4 or 5 star hotels I have NEVER had any staff mske me feel like thdy are doing me a favour honestly she is horrible and needs a lesson in customer service... she refuses to give u her name to complain and struts around like she owns the place... she needs sacking
