“Nice Hotel”

Found the staff very helpful and welcoming,the room was cleaned every day to a high degree. The hotel was easy access to shopping areas and short walk to the beach. I would recommend and will stay there again

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on a half-board basis. Maria on reception was very friendly and we were given room 408 away from the sports gym next door as we requested. ROOM The room was well laid out, with the sofa(bed) out of direct view of the main bed. The kitchen area could be screened off by folding doors and had a fridge (with small freezer), 2-ring hob, coffee percolator, kettle, sufficient crockery, glasses and cutlery (including corkscrew) and a tea towel. Tea/coffee/washing-up liquid were not supplied. The bed was comfortable, made up with a sheet and coverlet (though a blanket was available, if required). The TV was not set up with any English channels but when we reported this to reception they promptly sent a technician who made an adjustment so that BBC1, BBC2 and Channel 4 were accessible. The room looked like it had been recently decorated. There were a number of large mirrors, a lot of drawer/shelf space and sufficient hanging space for our stay. The safe was payable. The (free) wifi did not always work from the room. The bathroom had a bath-shower combination, with partial fixed screen (which did not stop the floor from getting wet after using the shower). The extractor was too feeble to de-mist the mirror. Bath and handtowels, bathmat and a rubber anti-slip mat for the bath were provided as well as a (good) hairdryer and sufficient toilet paper. Initial bath sundries consisted of 2 sachets of shower gel and shampoo and 2 small soaps. Our housekeeper (Rosi) did a good job. The balcony was furnished with a table and 2 chairs. The door latched once closed, but we were made aware of this from a previous review, so did not close the door fully when we sat on the balcony. FOOD Breakfast (7am-10.30am) was OK. There was a relatively small selection of hot (warm) and cold dishes (if you exclude the cooked vegetables from the night before, which seem to have been included simply to make the buffet appear larger). There was a microwave, 1 toaster (with 2 types of sliced bread), 2 (decent) coffee machines and 2 juice machines dispensing “fruit juice” which tasted like squash. The fresh fruit and yoghurt choices were good. The pastry selection was limited and did not seem to get replenished. The cereals offered were of the cheaper variety. There was no water fountain anywhere in the hotel and you were not allowed to fill your water bottle at breakfast which seemed a bit petty. Dinner (7pm-9.30pm) offered a limited choice and some dishes were “duplicated” (lentil stew also served (the same evening) with pasta added as a soup, and spaghetti available as plain spaghetti and spaghetti bolognaise on the same evening). There were various salads (but few sauces), however the dishes we tried were tasty and again they could be heated up in the microwave if necessary. The dessert section though small was adequate for us and changed over the days we were there.. Staff cleared the tables promptly. The large bottle of water we ordered with our dinner was 2 euros which we thought quite reasonable. Lunch was 1pm-3pm but was not included in our booking. ENTERTAINMENT There was no evening entertainment despite different singers being advertised. The rooftop area looked attractive with comfortable sunbeds but had no pool bar and few parasols. Pool towels were available for 10 euro deposit. There was a small (free) gym. Having read the reviews, I booked half-board at this hotel because of its good price for the location. The food and facilities were as we expected, and the room was better than expected. We would stay here again on a future visit on a half-board basis. In our opinion this hotel does not offer an adequate package for all-inclusive. During our stay, the hotel appeared to have relatively few guests, however if it got busy the 2 (small) lifts would struggle to cope, as would the dining facilities.
