I'm nearly at the end of my 6 night stay here and I've had a wonderful time. The room has everything I need, it's clean and well equipped. The room has been cleaned almost every day. I'm in a front facing room where I can sit with a drink on the balcony and watch the world go by outside. This does mean I need earplugs at night as it can be a little noisy but this isn't an issue for me. The pool area and gardens are beautiful and so well kept, it's lovely to buy a drink from the bar and just sit for a while. The breakfasts have been great, with plenty of choice. I particularly love the fresh fruits and breads. Even though I never mentioned it, someone in the hotel must have noticed from my passport that it was my birthday during the stay and I came back from a day out with friends in Gran Canaria to find a bottle of wine and a card from the hotel for my birthday. This is a special kind of kindness and attention to detail, and it's likely to bring me back to the Coral Teide Mar one day in the future. Finally, I'd like to mention that I have not seen any bugs or rats mentioned in other reviews. Not in my room or anywhere else. Also, I'm Welsh and no other guests or staff have been rude to me for being British. I've felt very welcome in both the hotel and the town.

“Fantastic hotel ”

Have been here now for 14 day's, and everything has been very good The hotel have a great pool area, whit a good poolbar, the personal in the recipient is always nice, and about the room, my was fantastic, and the clean good and changing towels every day they Clean, so all was nice here.

If you're looking for a no-frills hotel then this is the place for you - if you want state of the art, immaculate, modern facilities - don't book . If you're looking for a no-frills hotel then this is the place for you - if you want state of the art, immaculate, modern facilities - don't book . Before arriving we read the reviews and started to worry. I agree it's nothing fancy, the decor is tired, the pool needs maintenance, the kitchenette in our room (527) needs replacing and in general the whole place needs modernising. The bathroom was a bit rough, but clean and there was always plenty of hot water and shower pressure. BUT, you cannot fault the staff - all of whom were very polite, helpful and friendly (Irene in particular on Reception, I would name more but not everyone wore name badges). The buffet breakfast is ok - everything was edible and well stocked, although the toaster is possibly the slowest model you could possible ever use!! The hotel itself is very clean, the pool bar is reasonably priced, there's a pool table, the location is great as there are plenty of local shops, a supermarket and restaurants (Mother India is amazing!) If you do go to the centre of Puerto de la Cruz, walk down and get a taxi back - you'll be greatful if you take my advice!! Would I return? Yes. And make sure you get a pool view room.

This hotel is fine. We stayed for a week in October and did not see any rats or cockroaches as per previous reviews. The rooms are ok, it is clean. The pool does have tiles missing, but not a big issue. The place has residents with pets so might not be everyone’s 1st choice, this means it is quiet & we often had the pool to ourselves. Breakfast was decent with a good selection. The block is above shops on a ‘strip’ so can be noisy in the evening, we didn’t mind, it was dark & the beds are comfy. This is a great location, botanical gardens at the top of the road, beach front is a 15min walk. We took taxi’s back up for €5. There are plenty of shops and places to eat. We recommend Machamama & La Paz Pizza
