“First class experience”
Our fifth visit to this fantastic hotel. Ambience, food and service all first class. Plenty of sunbeds and separate children's pool ensure that peace and quiet are easy to find. Staff friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. Thoroughly recommend.

Arrival & Room So on arrival we we told that we had been upgraded from our original room 2 tiers higher which was pretty awesome, On getting to our room 108 on the first floor, we had such amazing views out over the pool and into the ocean. The room was lovely and spacious we had a coffee machine which was fully stocked on a daily basis as was the mini bar. The cleaners were amazing in the room everyday leaving it absolutely immaculate and fresh bedding and towels as required. The bathroom has a bath and a huge walk in shower which gave us chance to have a soak while relaxing with a book. I feel our room has definitely had a renovation recently as everything feels new. Food We did manage to book the restaurant on 3 occasions but we have a nearly 2 year old, and this was just a pipe dream, needless to say all reservations had to be cancelled so we really can comment on wether they were good or not maybe in a few years time we might get a chance. Buffet restaurant breakfast and dinner. This is your standard grub morning cereals pastries fresh juices eggs bacon hash browns fruit ect, also an omelette station fried eggs ect, there is only one station which usually the hotels we go to there is 2,3 or even 4 again waiting with a toddler is an absolute no no. Dinner Evening meal I'm vegetarian, there is always lots of choice for us veggies some has been good other times not so bit hit and miss Pasta is cooked fresh, but nearly got caught out with a ravioli told it was vegetarian but was actually fish, good job the wife tried it first, loads of fresh fish and steaks being cooked, now I love a pudding these has been OK but definitely had better elsewhere. Lunchtime Lunchtime is round the pool area gets quite busy sometimes waiting for a table, we just started eating a little later, lunch we had to eat separately as our baby was having his nap. Standard fair again, food hasn't blown me away, but I've never been hungry let's just say that. One amazing thing about eating here is the views if you get a seat out front it's just some of the most awesome views of the ocean ever, the sun shimmering of it in the morning incredible. I the main buffet room we're we mostly located was a pirate ship with all the childrens food on, and although Isaac is to young to appreciate it the kids absolutely loved it, just a few steps away from there is a soft play room which is open all day night including a computer room after 7.30 pm, So when Isaac was fed, sometime we ate separately again so we didn't have to speed eat, this was amazing. The baby kid club. We only bothered to find this after 5 days here, it's amazing opening times I believe 10-1 & 3-6 on filling out the forms once you can leave your child/ren there, go off and have some adult time, we didn't but what we saw from the staff looking after children that had been left, we wouldn't have had a problem. Loads to do in there toys soft toys puzzles face painting out door play in a sand pit, fantastic again. MINI Disco. 6pm every night for half an hour, it's so good kiddies just running around dancing generally having the best time, after 15-20 minutes the moment all the kids are waiting for Romi the pilot whale mascot comes out, this kids love him, our Isaac just followed him high fiving, then we all follow him back to his room and go onto dinner. Another things there is a bouncy castle of an evening in front of where the buffet restaurant is the kids love this as its roni themed. Pools Got to say loads of pools to choose from never ever an issue getting a sun lounger, could be different in peak season, two of the pools are heated which makes an absolute huge difference when you have a little one the baby pool is a real sharing community, everyone just go's with the flow you borrow this we lend that, great times and because it's warm you can stay in for hours, the big pool next to this again is heated to 19 degrees I believe but you don't have to brave the jumping in and staying in just calmly walk in and relax. Up near the spa is the kids pool with the slides all great, there is climbing walls soft area climbing areas and more, a zip wire which you need to book, and water guns, lots of fun here too. I literally could go on writing all day but I'm now hungy so am going over to the pool bar to get a non alcoholic pina colada and so grub. I would recommend this hotel with or with out children. We feel all the staff are amazing people and can't do enough for you

This was our second holiday at this lovely hotel and we are to return in September with our family. Efficient check in at Reception and received a very nice welcome from Ruyman Sanchez Donis, ( who we had met on our previous holiday), before being shown to our Superior Suite. Great location on the corner of the 5th floor with a fantastic view of the ocean and mountains. We saw some beautiful sunsets whist sitting on our balcony enjoying a drink. Very high standards of cleanliness throughout - not just rooms but outside areas too. As before excellent service and plenty of choice in food and drink. On “theme” evenings there is a station cooking fresh meat and fish to order in the outside area if you prefer a more simple meal. I have a dietary issue and the Maitre D’ (so sorry I don’t know his name) fetched a Chef to discuss my needs. The hotel is very accommodating. A special mention for Hayley and Carly at the Pool Bar, Estela at the buffet and Yanina who was our waitress when eating at the Spanish restaurant. It was lovely to be remembered and welcomed by Anna Maria, Genoviva, and Camilo who were all working hard as usual. Thank you very much! For a much more detailed review please look at “ Fussy Female” in November 2024.

Another return visit to this pleasant hotel. We were welcomed back on arrival and our room request was met. Our top floor seaview room was comfortable with a spectacular view. Room was clean although the floor could have done with a bit more attention. Housekeeping cleaned most mornings when we were at breakfast which suits us perfectly. All of the staff are friendly and helpful and without a doubt work hard especially in the main restaurant. The biggest disappointment was the dinner buffet, since our last visit in November the quality of the food had really gone down, especially the fish. I understand that the chef is working to a tight budget but it was disappointing to see such a change in a couple of months. The hotel was busy and as mentioned by others sunbeds were reserved first thing in the morning and some remained unoccupied for most of the day. Staff made no effort to remove towels to free them up. Some guests are just plain selfish. We have always rated this hotel highly but I would rate this visit as good, it's not average but it's not very good either. After 5 visits over the last few years we're not sure if we will return again.
