On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.
We would also like to inform you of the following restrictions included in the law:
Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations. The hotel/apartment manager or property agent must order said guests to leave immediately, which may require assistance from the security forces.
Failure to comply with the prohibition of practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests will be considered a serious offence. In the Balearic Islands, serious offences are subject to a fine between 6,001 and 60,000 euros.

Stayed at the Buenavista in October 2024 and again March 2025. Great hotel with very helpful friendly staff. A little out on a limb but a €2 bus ride from the easily accessible Rosa Centre will take you to other livelier destinations. Others have complained about weak drinks but the bar staff are more than happy to make them stronger if desired. There were also reviews about poor food selections but I still hold by my previous thoughts that on an AI holiday we overeat and by the end of the holiday nothing appeals - we’re just over stuffed and nothing takes our fancy. The rooms were immaculate and the whole hotel is clean with staff always busy with a mop somewhere. There were always sunbeds available round the pools despite the hotel being at, or near, capacity. The only slight disappointment was that there seemed to be far less evening entertainment in March than in October. A good second holiday despite the awful weather which RIU Buenavista definitely can’t help with!
