We have just returned from another wonderful stay and would like to thank all the staff for again making it so good. No matter who we saw, we always got a smile and they all seemed to genuinely want to ensure we were happy. Food is varied, plentiful and tasty (and always hot so I don't understand previous reviews). The show cooking stations were as good as usual. The chefs are imaginative-especially the desserts at Halloween. The hotel itself is bright, clean and the rooms are large enough. The daily gifts we received are much appreciated and we can't wait to try the banana and fig jams. The pool is not large but big enough for the size of the hotel and we never had a problem getting sunbeds there or on the roof terrace. Hotel location right on the promenade is excellent. The only disappointment was that the hotel has lowered its standards of dress code for men for evening dinner. There is a notice stating that formal shorts are now permitted but not beach wear or flip flops. Unfortunately, this is not enforced and some men are allowed in looking like they have just come from the beach, wearing tee shirts, beach shorts and flip flops. It seems a shame that some men have no respect for the hotel, other guests, themselves or their wives-who have got changed and are smartly dressed. This doesn't spoil the holiday, it's just a pet hate of mine. All in all another very enjoyable stay and we will be back next year.

“12 night stay.”

Stayed here with my wife for 12 nights and our daughters joined us for 7 nights. We found the hotel very well kept and the rooms were fine. We found that the staff were all fantastic and they looked after us very well. David in the bar took great care of us all in the evenings. Meals we found good… more

Stayed here with my wife for 12 nights and our daughters joined us for 7 nights. We found the hotel very well kept and the rooms were fine. We found that the staff were all fantastic and they looked after us very well. David in the bar took great care of us all in the evenings. Meals we found good and better then most of the local choices available. Only issue was the lack of English TV channels not that you go away to watch tv but they would be nice to have. Would have no problem recommending this hotel.

"Lovely Stay with Some Ups and Downs" My husband and I stayed at the H10 Big Sur in Los Cristianos, Tenerife, for a week in November. Overall, we found it to be a lovely hotel, especially for its location and décor, but it does come with a few notable pros and cons. Pros: Location: Fantastic spot close to plenty of bars and right by the promenade. It's a great base for exploring Los Cristianos. Modern Décor: The hotel is stylish and very clean throughout communal areas, which gives it a fresh feel. Pool: There was no problem getting a sunbed, even though people did start queuing at around 9:00 a.m. for the 9:30 rope drop/opening but there was no need as we easily got a nice spot each day, which might be due to visiting in the off-season. Hotel Bar: Drinks are reasonably priced, and the evening entertainment was enjoyable—something on every night, which we appreciated. Atmosphere: This hotel is clearly geared towards older adults (probably late 40s and up) and couples. It’s a very relaxed environment. Resident Cat, Blacky... A delightful addition to the hotel, Blacky, a little cat with a pink collar, was a welcomed companion, especially as I was missing my own pets. She enjoys a gentle stroke here and there—just don’t go overboard, as she likes her independence and will let you know when she's had enough! Mini Golf: A little hidden gem right across the promenade! For guests, it’s just two euros each and well worth it. We played about five times during our stay because it was so much fun as some holes are challenging and tricky. Cons: Room Cleanliness: Some areas in the room could have been cleaner, with a bit of grime build-up in certain spots in bathroom. Dinner Quality: Breakfast was lovely, but dinners were a bit disappointing. The food seemed repetitive, and the meat quality wasn’t great—definitely felt like lower cuts. The food could use a bit more variety. Raw Chicken Incident: Unfortunately, one evening the show chef served me undercooked chicken in a stir-fry. When I brought this to management’s attention, they dismissed it by saying the meat should have been "left to rest" before I tucked in?? Not ideal for chicken, obviously, and I felt the situation wasn’t handled properly. I like rare to medium steak but not chicken. It's a risk of food poisoning and glad I spotted it before putting in my mouth. Room Location: We stayed in room 124, which faced the car park. Not the best view, and it was right next to a generator, plus we could see staff on breaks having cigarettes. We didn’t mind too much as we only used the room to sleep, but for those who spend more time in their rooms, I’d recommend requesting a seafront view. In summary, H10 Big Sur is a comfortable, well-located hotel with a nice ambience and modern décor. There’s room for improvement in certain areas, especially regarding dinner and attention to food safety. That said, we still had a lovely time, and I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a laid-back stay in Tenerife.
