Just come back from staying at this amazing hotel and what a holiday it was. For reference we booked the ‘Romance Double Room Balcony/Terrace HB Exclusive Pool View’ so this included the ‘Exclusive Service’ which we didn’t realise until we got there. Firstly our room was stunning, have attached pics. So clean, modern, everything worked perfectly. Great view overlooking the pool. The hotel itself was outstanding amazing Xmas decorations, clean, the rooftop bar was brilliant along with the entertainment 10/10. I’d like to highlight the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff - every single staff member there was happy, always greeted with a smile, and happy to help with whatever. There was an employee named ‘Mon’ who was an absolute delight, we saw him in the morning and evening for breakfast and dinner. He was always smiling, always so polite and so friendly a credit to the hotel. I’d also like to mention the lovely blonde lady (didn’t get her name) who hosted the pool games - she made them so much fun and was great. There was a dark haired lady who I believed to be a manager - amazing service from her lovely to speak to. Another shoutout to ‘Lua’ at Cafe del Mar - fun, energetic, friendy service from him he was fab. Finally ‘Santiago’ at cafe del mar who was serving us while at the rooftop pool (also a stunning view and place to sunbathe sunbed included in exclusive service). He was so attentive and brilliant. The food at the hotel was 10/10 had a range of dishes and was all cooked to perfection so tasty. The sunbed booking system was easy to use, helped to avoid getting up silly hours and reserving you just had to go to reception day before and book a sunbed for following day - simple and sensible. Would definitely return to this hotel couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you all ❤️

“Not as good as previous years”

This was our 3rd stay here over the new year period Lots of new staff and management and it definitely shown fair to say that will be our last time staying here Although hotel is nice and clear and in great location The food was like at a bad all inclusive and that was quite clear when in restaurant was always quite were previous years was hard to get seated real shame Other couples who we met previous years all were saying the same thing had a real great place and definitely on the downwards slope

“Few niggles this visit after 3 visits this year.”

This was our third visit this year and noticed a definite change. We booked for new year in November and was not able to get our room choice we normally stay in romance or deluxe pool view. We have always went with exclusive service which comes with these rooms. This time all that was available was a deluxe and we upgraded to exclusive. I had emailed the hotel numerous times asking to pick a room or pay for pool view with no response at all so was nervous when we arrived. The cost to stay at the hotel on New Year’s Eve was 699 euro for the night so was hopeful that we could get a decent room. When we arrived we were allocated a room facing the apartment block next door and I asked to pay for an upgrade which was 100 euro and we are allocated ground floor pool view room. The Italian girl at reception was great and we felt at this point that we had made a good choice and was aware that we would have to wait until the next day for exclusive extras to be put in the room. As it was after 10 when we arrived. We had to continually ask for the minibar and other extras which only arrived after asking 4 times and the bottle opener still hasn’t arrived. This was very annoying as we had already paid for the exclusive with another 100 euros on top. Really felt like we were having to beg which was not a nice experience or like the previous times we had been. Food wasn’t great this time either and had to eat out a few nights as pizza and chips was becoming a bit boring. The hotel is beautiful and the gala dinner at new year was so good the staff are excellent with a shout out to Luis who was so attentive and remembered us from previous visits. Never a problem getting a sun bed as they are in this now removing towels which was great to see. There seems to be a reduction of staff within the restaurant and poor Abdul was managing the egg stations by himself and also at night the cooked meats there was always such a queue as limited staff. I have been an active supporter of this hotel recommending it to friends etc however this experience for us is making us look to alternatives. The location and hotel is fabulous but these small annoyances were also felt by others who have also been loyal to the hotel for a number of years. I hope that the hotel can get back to where it was and I’m sure after a stay at another hotel I will return just ensuring that I book the romance room or exclusive pool view to avoid these concerns.
