Check in was good with friendly staff. Hotel lobby and surrounds very clean. Good selection at Breakfast. Well decorated from the Christmas period. Room was facing a pedestrian way to the beach with shops and restauraunts and got noisy in the evening necessitating keeping the patio door closed. Only 1 spare pillow in the room so had to request another. Kettle looked like someone had made coffee in it perhaps and it was stained on the outside. Tea coffee making facilities are €4 per day after day 1. Floor patched with gaffer tape and poor paintwork . No safe keys available on check in they said we could go on a waiting list and they would let us know when 1 became available.Tea coffee has to be drunk from glasses in the room. Not very practical with hot tea.Not even a box of tissues in the room which I would expect from a Hotel of this stars. Would not return, there is better hotels for this money if you look.

Disappointed by our recent trip. New unappetising evening food arrangements. Rather than the sumptuous, varied food normally available there was a dull, drab, meagre choice. Loyal returning guests and extended stay guests are very disappointed. It would seem that high management or accountants have installed these arrangements over the last 6 months or so, with many guests saying they will not return and there has also been a price increase for a stay to receive less. However, in the child friendly Bitacora, where children do not expect a luxurious buffet, they still have this food option. Whose idea was that? Beleaguered staff have to deal with numerous complaints. Staff have been reduced and are demoralised. The well used and enjoyed pétanque pitch still has tiles broken after 3 years and a piece of boarding broken, why? The hotel charges enough to repair this. The bar in the evening has not been busy and the atmosphere is muted. There was a few minor problems to be rectified whilst we were there but by far the biggest grievance customers have is the evening buffet and restrictions on the amount of people who can book evening dining. I think management have forgotten who they are selling holidays to at this location. Older clientele who enjoy the flatter location, may not be able to walk too far, but are prepared to dine for lunch and drink at the hotel are being ignored. The Vulcano has lost its fizz. But it can be effervescent again. So come on Springs Hotels, give the customers what they had and want.
