“Very good hotel, entertainment not the best”

We stayed for 1 week in december with out 3 kids under 6. The kids pools were fantastic at the aqua zone. The bigger slide one was closed the second and maybe first day that we arrived. Myself and husband found the food very good choice and quality. All 3 children would be fussy but still found things to eat. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was perfect for us. There wer alot of ants around kitchen and floors, but we had no food there so was fine. It's a nice slow place stay. The staff are all lovely.. there's isn't much to do outside the hotel it took us about 25 mins stroll to the beach,so for that reason i dont know how a family would manage their stay if they weren't all inclusive!! I didn't see the information about the bus to and from the beach. I would recommend the hotel if you stay all inclusive The only downside for us was the entertainment, it was terrible! They had activities during the day but there Were alot of rules to follow, I was told my toddler was more or less in the way on afew occasions. My older son is autistic, and he couldn't understand how all the same kids every night over and over were getting these certificates and he wasnt getting any, I would say that the entertainment is definitely not catered for all kids. Adult entertainment wasn't much good either. Maybe If the hotel had an actual kids club it would be better. So because of the entertainment, I can't say that I would rebook in the future All the restaurant staff do a great job

We have just returned from a week's stay at the gran oasis, which was nice but would not say 4 star quality. We travelled with 3 kids under the age of 7, and there are steps everywhere, the room alone have a full set of stairs and given one stair gate to close off the dining area, which did not help the bottom of the marble stairs, especially with the bathroom being downstairs and two older children to sleep on pull out beds upstairs which is not ideal. I asked to have a room with no stairs inside and was advised would be a further €82 a night charge. Not ideal with a 1 year old, pram etc or anyone with disabilities. The hotel itself is a 30 minute walk to the golden mile or quick taxi drive there and back as children would not walk it. The staff were always lovely and friendly, one child entertainer Shelby was great, otherwise the children did not enjoy 'kids entertainment; the entertainment for adults ended at 10/ 10.30pm latest and all inclusive ended at 11pm. I would not recommend if you have issues with steps or young children as the steps are not safe and should be more advertised to make families or mobility issues more aware.
