I stayed with my friend for 7 Nights start of July. We were not informed of any building works being done by Easy Jet. Which partly ruined our stay as it was hard to relax by the pool with the noise in the day. Food was good considering it was all inclusive, with limited cocktail choices to choose from. The frozen Daiquiri was lovely! Staff were friendly and our room was clean. Shout out to the cleaners who would clean the pool area every morning and worked really hard to maintain the hotel. Entertainment every night. The DJ was great who was present a couple of nights including a white party by the poolside. Nice touch! Beware they will cut your wrist bands off for all inclusive as soon as you check out!! Check out was at 12:00 but I explained that we wouldn’t be leaving till 6pm for our late flight. I explained how I would appreciate if we could have our all inclusive benefits till we leave, but this was not allowed and we had to pay for the rest of our food and drink the rest of the day. Which we hadn’t factored in as other hotels have been accommodating for us previously. Close location to everything we needed which was a bonus. If it wasn’t for the noise and the all inclusive being taken away from us it would have been a perfect stay.

Having read some of the reviews prior to our trip I was a little anxious to say the least about staying in Coral Suites. Tui emailed the day before we were due to travel to say there were building works going on which just added to the stress and we were unable to rebook somewhere else without additional cost. We arrived at around 10pm and were checked in by someone who could use a lesson in customer service. We were given the wristbands which were weren’t expecting and never had previously in other hotels, to be honest it felt quite cheap!. Went to our junior suite and it was only ok, very dated and some things weren’t what I would expect, like the patio doors letting all the noise through! Decent shower, kitchen area, comfy bed and the air con was a godsend! However, our room was at the back of the hotel which faced onto a locals apartment building, there was a lot of noise very late on every night, especially on the Sunday night after the Euros. Once you closed the doors you couldn’t hear it in the bedroom, but due to the vent in the bathroom you could hear it a lot more as this couldn’t be closed. Pool area was a bit poor, there were so many sun beds in a small area and a lot of them were reserved very early which you weren’t meant to do but this was not enforced. Also, most of the pool area is in the shade till after lunch which is disappointing. Breakfast was nice, good food and varied every day, although the pastry selection could have been better. On the Monday of our stay there was a pool party with ridiculous noise levels from the music out the multiple speakers surrounding the pool. We couldn’t hear ourselves think so we decided to go to the temporary rooftop terrace which was really quiet and chilled. We spent the rest of the week up there which was ideal, although there were a few times where groups of young lads would come and spoil the peace. Although they did generate some amusement when they ended up kicking their football over the side of the hotel, then getting told off by hotel staff!! The construction work did go on all week but it wasn’t as bad as some have suggested, other than the Monday. We were disappointed on check out day that we couldn’t keep our room as we had a late flight, but completely understood due to peak season and we were still able to have a normal last day, and used the luggage area and shower facilities, although be prepared to be in a sweat box as the air con doesn’t work in those rooms (p01-05) Overall, we had an ok stay, but I don’t believe this hotel is a 4 star hotel and jet2/tui etc shouldn’t be advertising it as such. We paid a lot of money for our stay, and while there are some good points including the location and being a short walk to the main strip (safari centre etc), we would have enjoyed our stay more in an actual 4 star hotel. Credit should be given to the cleaners and catering staff though who were great.
