This hotel is simply FANTASTIC. I stayed here with my partner using the all inclusive deal and felt like a real treat throughout our whole week. On arrival the reception team were friendly and helpful in assisting us where we could find food as we checked in pretty late and didn’t have time for dinner. The pools and pool beds are a good size with lots of choice and there was no sun bed wars which is a relief! The hotel had so much to offer that there was no reason to leave and we spent our whole time here other than a walk along the beach and walk to collect some souvenirs. We ate daily at the snack bar which was constantly replenished. The staff at the bar section were extremely smiley and welcoming and more than happy to help. Your frozen pina coladas were to die for!! Loved the extra touch of being able to self serve your own beer and soft drinks too. We visited the gym during our week too which had lots to offer. I would maybe recommend some slightly heavier dumbells for women as they jumped from 2 to 8 kg at the other weight section. Found the other weights between these hard to work with at times as I couldn’t hold them as well as a dumbbell. The buffet had lots of selection and as a picky eater I would say there is truly something for everyone. We had a meal at both a la carte restaurants. The one where the pool snack bar is was truly fantastic. The staff were so accommodating and kept the wine coming throughout and the meal was our best through the whole week. The second a la carte restaurant next to ‘the show’ had beautiful interior and the meal was nice but didn’t manage to beat the other one in terms of labelling itself as a la carte. We also felt the staff weren’t as warm here as our previous experiences. It also might be worth while changing your dress code as it was advised for men to wear trousers in which my partner did to only find out lots of others were in casual wear/shorts. It’s very hot and he would have preferred to dress differently however wanted to be respectful of your wishes. Our room air con wasn’t the best and we spent the first night really struggling to cool down our room. After speaking with the reception staff they sent the maintenance team to our room who was brilliant. He was so chatty and helpful and reassured us if we had any further issues to call for him again. We also had issues with our safe which he managed to help us with. Other than that the room was extremely clean and the staff cleaning it each day done a superb job, replacing our towels everyday and even folding my jammies neatly on my bed! Finally the entertainment staff were second to none. They are a huge asset to your team. Extremely friendly and entertaining. Massive shout out to Anton who really took the time to get to know not only us but I observed him really spending time with all of your guests. Truly fantastic! Once again Thankyou for everything any issues we had were quickly and efficiently dealt with and we couldn’t recommend you more to friends and family. We hope to come back and visit again!

We have just returned from a 10 day family holiday stay at this fabulous hotel. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and clean and whichever side of the hotel you stay in, there are fabulous views of the area. We were a group of 7 with ages ranging from 12 to 76 - and everyone enjoyed what the hotel had to offer. Great food, great facilities, great entertainment, fantastic service from every member of staff, great pools and close to the beach and lovely shops & restaurants around. Easy access to buses to go exploring or go on excursions that you can book at the hotel itself. The booking team are very helpful and knowledgable about all there is to do in the area. Special shout out to Ricky and Anton for their passion and fun filled natures that made us feel very welcome and happy! I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful holiday in a nice and quieter area of Tenerife. Loved every minute! Thank you to the whole team at Landmar Playa La Arena for great family memories created this year. Tip: definitely book all inclusive to be able to enjoy all the food and drink without any need to carry cash around and disrupt the flow of your holiday.

Went with the intention to relax and we did indeed! It will be a honest review. Notes on the bottom for improvements. We was welcomed on reception by the wonderful Stefano. Honestly he was polite, professional and extremely helpful. Throughout our stay, we went to him for questions and he was the best person there! He was our ‘home from home’ person! So Thankyou for being wonderful! The hotel is stunning. The entrance is grand and beautiful. The whole place is quirky, full of plants, some over 20 foot tall! (I’m a plant lover so was in my element). The grounds were immaculate. I think I seen 4 ants on a can of coke my daughter forgot on the balcony. They were soon gone when we moved and washed out the can. No rubbish anywhere, it was very clean. The 4 pools 1st is a small spa like one for over 12’s. It’s quite chilly and it has a area where you can pay for a massage 2nd is the warmer one but with all the activities 1&2 open 9-6 3 open 10-6 3rd was more quieter (this was our pool) with the odd baby and a mixture of ages but more of a chilled vibe 4th is the platinum adult only pool which is a infinity pool (we didn’t have access as we had a 15 year old, not 16, and it has an additional cost). A shame because she just wanted to tan. But you have to have an age to cut off at. Enough spare beds for all. Got a bit of a queue and my partner got gazumped one day. But we actually went for the back most days Food So excluding the platinum additional areas You have the Lava restaurant which is your main buffet area. Breakfast was samey, but fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, omelettes, bacon, cheeses and meats etc. pancakes, porridge and churros also. It had themes on every lunch and evening. All different. But still maintained the basics of pizza, pasta, chips, salads etc. but they did fresh grilled fish, chicken, sea foods alongside this. They did a Mexican themed, cesear salad, Italian, bao buns, meatballs, and a few more. Although the food was samey, the quality was great. Propper bacon, not streaky (although I like streaky). Staff were friendly, always helpful and on the ball. Poolside bar - had a theme one day but generally salad selection and a rotation of sides apart from chips and pizzas, burgers and hot dogs. They had little tubs of ice cream and at 4pm brought out pastries. But you could go to the Lava restaurant. All pizzas were fresh ‘propper’ pizzas. A la carte Poolside- (depending on your level of package you get the option for one or two of these. We had two so chose to do both.) Poolside was a 3 course, we had a mix of soup and prawn toast. All steak mains which come with peppercorn sauce, chips and cooked vege, steak cooked to your liking and done well! Honestly it was lovely! But like a quick turn around. One closer to reception- faster turn around. Food was great. I didn’t try the a la carte at the side of the pool as it was a seperate eating place and you had to pay. Drinks Free flowing by the pool Beer is a weak beer. But partner was ok with it. Sangria has a little fizz but was nice, and it was strong from what my partner said. Has a selection of slushies for all, and water, lemon fizz, orange fizz, 7up Pepsi, and a few other things. The cocktail slushes don’t have alcohol in, but we didn’t realise this until 3 days in 🤣. But also when asking for alcohol in them, had to say small amount as the measurements are crazy. Hotel bar All of the above minus slushes. They also do cocktails (not sure if it’s all the time). Certain shorts are home branded and you have to pay additional for the more expensive. But some were good brands that were included. Entertainment Poolside - although we didn’t get involved, the team did a wonderful job, you could see that. They worked so much, and were a wonderful team. Was fun to watch when we was passing. They all were so polite and friendly and went above and beyond from what I saw. Kids- we didn’t attend this also as it was aimed more at under 10 I would say. There were some good nights on with acrobatics, music and magicians. But also kids music was blasting. Top terrace - was piano playing, singers and quite chilled. It was nice to be honest but you need to get out there to have a seat. Generally families sat all over the hotel grounds playing board games, card games etc. it was really nice. Rooms We had twin deluxe with a sea view. Clean and tidy, some tv channels worked. Just what you need in a room! A boxed off shower and a bath with a shower. Cleaned daily if needed. Immaculate. Outside of the hotel A few shops and bars, not anything busy and not allot of nightlife (which suited us). Tends to close down around 10-12. A few spots to eat but not a populated place really. We liked that about it. The beach was black sand and beautiful. A bit rocky in areas, and two parts to it. The main part the beds and umberellas were €4 each for the day. The sand is super hot. Just a chilled beach. The part round the corner we watched body borders which was crazy crashing off the beach, but we came back at 8 to watch the sunset which was nice, it disappeared behind the neighbouring island. The last day we paid for a bed for €25 for a bit of extra quiet. It was worth it although we wasn’t far from the pool. You get a package with beers and snacks. Now the few minor improvements that would have made it that extra bit special. The top a la carte- whilst eating we was next to the kids entertainment. All we could hear was baby shark. Not what you want at a a la carte. It felt rushed, and when asking to pay the additional fee, I was looked at with a blank face when I presented cash. He wasn’t the friendliest of waiters if I’m being honest, but that is one of 2 waiters out of 100 ish fantastic waiters who were blunt. Lava - too many areas for the platinum that was never accommodated. Frustrating when 5 out of 7 mornings/ 4 out of 7 nights we had to go to find a table which had food on it or just been cleared with no cutlery. It works on a service for fizzy drinks and wine/ beer but it’s hard finding someone to get that second drink. We kept walking to the area where the drinks were to ask someone. Staff were friendly and helpful though. Loud person above - not the hotels fault, but 3 nights of screaming, running and heals banging, balcony door going we didn’t fall asleep until 3am, myself and my daughter. Called reception and they sent security. It happened just as we was drifting off, which was 12-12.30, so it wasn’t early. She was just inconsiderate. It wasn’t that type of hotel, but I don’t think she got that, everyone else seemed to. Excursions book via the hotel. I booked Siam park from home for the Friday when the busses weren’t running and it cost us €100 in total. Definately go, go early and get a fast pass. I wouldn’t go otherwise. All in all it’s a wonderful place and I would return. Thankyou Stefano!
