“Solid three star hotel”

This was a no frills hotel and was adequate as a base for our holiday. The pool was better than the previous Blue Sea hotel we stayed in last year. The gym however was disappointing with out dated and well worn equipment. The food was plain and plentiful. The hotel was clean and tidy but showed its age. The corridor outside our room was often smelly and clearly the staff used deodorant to mask it. Staff were helpful.

We stayed here end of july and safe to say it was extremely average, we would come back here again but WOULD NOT pay for any food included. The food was atrocious and there was not a single bit of proper protein anywhere just the odd unseasoned veg and chips with the SAME pasta every night , me and my friend just ate out every night which was a pain but better than the food we were given. I ate dinner the first and second night and both nights I was violently ill and sick it could of been from something else so I will not blame them entirely but just was very odd as when i didn’t eat the food it was fine. The restaurant was more like a canteen with flies roaming everywhere which was very off putting, we know they can’t control the flies but putting up some fly preventing measures could have been done. The tv is included in the room but there was barely any channels that worked and they were all in spanish (obviously). A safe is NOT included in your room and you will have to pay a deposit and then an extra charge or €3 a day to have one which then don’t specify on the website and is very misleading. The pool was extremely busy and very noisy , not very big either. We would return for the rooms and the location as there was nothing to complain about with them. The staff were very accommodating apart from a few , we had to ask for alot of things at reception as the housekeepers didn’t give out fresh towels etc. The male receptionist wasn’t very helpful and would always say he would ‘write our requests down’ but nothing was ever delivered to our room. However the housekeepers were just darling , so kind and lovely and always respected our things and our time bless them. The receptionist who checked us in was also very lovely, it was her first or second day on the job and the ‘manager’ we presume was also great. You have to pay deposits if you need glasses for drinks for the room as well. The places to eat outside the hotel were perfect , very well priced and the staff are just amazing. The location was brilliant with a beach just 5 mins down the road walking distance and the balcony view was just to die for. There is an odd off putting sewage smell on the 3rd and 4th floor but it doesn’t linger into your rooms. Overall it was quite a pleasant stay but please do your review research and to see if it’s a right fit for you.

We stayed here in June for a week all inclusive, can't fault the cleanliness of the hotel, it was absolutely spotless and our junior suite was a really good size. All the staff were really nice and extremely helpful. However, the food just isn't nice, not breakfast lunch or dinner and the juice tasted weird. I'm not a fussy eater and I struggled to find something that I would enjoy, never mind my boyfriend being extremely picky there was absolutely nothing that he could eat at lunch or dinner except for chips so we ended up going out for lunch and dinner for the entire week we were there, we were lucky there are some nice restaurants not too far away from the hotel. The pool is really boring unfortunately and not very deep, it's also freezing. We rarely went in it because it was so cold. Also the fun police won't allow any form of fun in the pool and will watch you like a hawk. Again, we never really sat by the pool unfortunately as it just wasn't entertaining. We had really noisy neighbours up above us who played extremely loud music and would bang there balcony door at 1am. My boyfriend phoned reception about it but didn't make much difference, he had to go up himself to tell them to be quite. The hotel is definitely a budget hotel which is fair enough and the rooms are extremely clean, despite the negatives we still had a fantastic time away!
