A lovely hotel for a family trip. The hotel was clean, most of the staff were friendly, wait times for tables at meal times were long, bar services were slow and staff rude. Snagging around the hotel which was dangerous (my son cut his knee open on a jaggered broken wall) The food options and restaurants are great. We were there over Easter and the decoration and menu was super. Breakfast on the terrace at the buffet restaurant is lovely but you b my red to ask on arrival. Entertainment during the day and evening was excellent. Some children’s entertainment was a little disappointing with equipment broken and staff not taking control. The pool areas were clean. Though the water was cold. The large saltwater infinity pool is shallow and fun for the kids. Great access from the hotel onto the seafront. The rooms are clean and spacious. We were lucky to have a balcony with a view. We were due a late checkout but this was not processed in the system, so make sure to check on arrival. The bar services with the entertainment in the evening is very poor. Nobody walks around to serve and half way through the holiday they decided to remove drinks from the all inclusive menu. It would be nice to see a play park onsite for the children. Whilst on a private tour I was able to view the suites and family rooms. The suites are excellent for the space, family rooms have a kitchen should you need it. All in all a lovely holiday. Shame about the weather but that’s nature for you

This is a lovely looking hotel with picturesque views and a great feature pool albeit unheated. The grounds are also beautiful and well looked after. This was our second visit here; our last was 10 years ago. The rooms are very dated as per previous reviews and our room was exactly the same as it was when we were there before. The room was very big with a nice balcony but the furnishings were old mahogany especially the wardrobe and drawers and they smelled a bit musty. The buffet had a lot of choice to suit all peoples' tastes but some of the hot dishes were not warm enough. We stayed round the adult pool on most days. It wasn't clear whether there was a drinks service or not and we hardly ever saw any staff in fact probably only on two occasions. There were posts around the pool with call buttons on them but they didn't work. We saw lots of people trying to call for service but no staff ever appeared. Either there's a pool drinks service or not, but people need to know one way or the other. The staff in Pangea were great and all very helpful and friendly. We also went to Agave for lunch and the food there was really nice. The drinks in the bars are expensive, 8€ for a small beer etc. As long as you're aware of all the above and know what's available, the lack in some service areas and the prices you can have a good, relaxing time.

So it’s “ok”… the food is pretty good but the rest of the experience and cost leaves us never planning to come back. We were a family of 4 in a two bedroom suite in the family Red Level … one teen and one 9 year old… we stayed from Dec 20th to 30th. We came 15 years ago when my wife was pregnant with our eldest and we stayed in the Red Level adult only, so had good memories of our previous visit. The place itself has great views and on the surface justifies the cost but really it’s another big hotel trying to maximise returns. It tries to push the all inclusive and Red Level (see below) …Which is fine if you like that but hence the “ok” rating. Food - pretty good with a range of a La carts options - we ended up going to other restaurants just outside the hotel incl B On The Rocks and 3 Raices…. They are just nicer and better … not necessarily cheaper. Also we couldn’t get into the A La Carte most nights, which I guess is ok given the holiday season and hotel occupancy at this time of year. Service - mixed, some good some less. Staff disappear round the pool so you can’t order from loungers - come on it’s 5 star and there service buttons but no one comes!…. Litter and plates hang around all day; staff just seem disinterested Rooms - spacious and well laid out, plenty of storage etc. it is showing its age though and they feel more like a time share hotel with mini apartments that have seen heavy traffic. Red Level Family - waste of money and here’s why we will never return - it has all the peace and restful properties of a seal colony- at 5am crying babies, followed at 7am cleaner dragging furniture for the next 3 hours (I think this is deliberate to get people out of bed) followed by crying children by the pool, in the restaurants and bars … then if you’re lucky children in the kids club running up and down the corridors playing treasure hunt… and then you get the night time repeat topped off with gaggles of adults chatting in the corridors at midnight! We are leaving here exhausted . Yes maybe 5 star etc etc but that’s not the point … it cost >£10k for 10 days just for the room…. Need another holiday just to get some sleep and looking forward to leaving which is a 1st for all of us.
