“Ignore the negativity”

This place is actually really good, never stayed here before but definitely would again. This place is actually really good, never stayed here before but definitely would again. Our room had a veranda right near the pool, the sun beds were never reserved and left for hours as others have stated. The staff were excellent very polite and helpful. We used to walk down to the busy areas and get a cab back as the hills are extreme if you are not fit or a keen walker. The on site restaurant serves delicious meals. And the amount of towels and toilet rolls available in the room on arrival was very good. All the moaning on other reviews are not all justified if you pay cheap prices you can’t expect 5* prices I would stay again 100%

We booked our weeklong stay through the Recency Torviscas website, but actually stayed in their sister ‘Neptune’ hotel, which is about 50-100m down the road. The hotels are in a good location. We booked our weeklong stay through the Recency Torviscas website, but actually stayed in their sister ‘Neptune’ hotel, which is about 50-100m down the road. The hotels are in a good location. Not too far from the beach (walking distance), near a shopping centre with a supermarket and McDonald’s. The only downside is that the hotel is up a steep hill. So those who are less able may struggle to walk back. When we arrived we found that evening entertainment was still running at this time of year, which was nice. The pool area of both hotels were decent, with enough room for all guests. Although this may differ during peak summer times. The Neptune hotel played music all day of varying genres from classic rock to modern house, so everyone was happy. The rooms were not great. No air con. Truthfully if I’d have realised this when booking the hotel I probably would have stayed elsewhere, but that is my fault. The bedroom and bathroom looked a bit rundown. The shower struggles to drain whilst the shower is running, which often leads to light flooding. And the bed is 2 small beds pushed together. Often the beds would slip apart, leaving a gap. The kitchen was lovely, modern with enough equipment and utensils. Lastly we had lots of tiny ants in our room I didn’t think it was enough to complain and move rooms, but it was annoying. Overall the hotel is decent, but the lack of air con would prevent me from staying again, especially if visiting in summer.
