We were a little worried about staying here after reading some reviews and so were pleasantly surprised. Initially we struggled to find our room and it was a difficult walk with luggage in the heat but once we had familiarised ourselves with the resort, it was easy enough to walk around. You definitely need to be able to manage steps and steep slopes. We had a One bed Gold apartment with roof terrace - B&B. Our room was a bit tired and could do with a refresh but it was fine for the time we spent in it. It had good facilities - as described and we had our room cleaned and fresh towels 2 out of our 4 day stay. I was not looking forward to having to eat breakfast in the sister hotel but it is so close to Los Olivos that it could almost be the same complex. There was a good selection of fresh food for breakfast, something for everyone. The Sky Bar was amazing - drinks were lovely and we ate there twice and the food was really good. Only slight criticism is the music is quite loud during the day. All the staff we encountered were lovely. We would stay here again.

This is our experience. We stayed in a Gold one bedroom plus apartment. The apartment was modern and clean with the best aircon you could ask for. Very spacious with comfy beds and everything you would need. Powerful shower with proper bath towels . We had a roof terrace with a good view of the sea, our balcony looked out onto other apartments. We had breakfast included however only had it once. We preferred to eat out as there's so many places to eat etc. Location is perfect for the shops, restaurants and beach. The sky bar is perfect for watching the most beautiful of sunsets. I agree with other reviews that if you have mobility issues the Olivos is probably not suitable as there's so many steps, slopes, uneven areas.

I stayed at Los Olivos with my husband in September for 10 nights . We arrived late evening and were told our room was at the top end of the complex and were given a map to follow , we set off with our cases only to find the whole complex is full of ramps and steps which are not easy to negotiate at night as the place is also very dimly lit . When we found our apartment it was facing the road and had a terrace with what was described as a garden but was in fact bare soil which was perfect for all the stray cats that live in the grounds .We knew the apartment had only celing fans when we booked but because of the wall facing the terrace there was no air coming in . We both have heart problems and it was a real hike to get to our apartment from reception as the whole complex is on a hill and we went straight down to reception to ask for a room change , we were told to go back the next morning to see if anything could be done . Next day we were offered a key to the back gate to help us but we refused this and eventually we got another room , still at the top but on the first floor and it had air con which was a bonus . The description of the resort mentions a few steps but nothing prepares you for the amount of steps and the steepness of the ramps which are everywhere . Breakfast is served in the restaurant at the resort next door which was not a problem to us but even that is down a very steep winding ramp and then more steps .The pool area was nice but a little cramped and we never struggled for sunbeds but the staff at the pool bar need to learn to smile and look like they want to talk to you , they seemed to have a lot of laughs with each other but did not really interact much with guests . None of the staff we encountered were friendly and did not even acknowledge you when you passed them . One afternoon we were having a nap on the bed when a maintainance man walked straight into our room without knocking and for no reason , my husband shouted to him and he muttered something in Spanish and left we told reception but felt it was a waste of time , the surly man we spoke to just said ok . Something worth mentioning is the fact that you are dropped off at the back of the apartments at the top of the hill which is not too bad when you arrive ,but when you are being picked up for the airport you have to lug your cases up that hill to the pick up point which is a killer as the hill is very steep . The apartment was lovely with everything we needed and comfy beds but if we had known the true extent of the ramps and steps around the complex we would not have booked there .
