So relaxing by pool area Service very very good at lunch restaurant and big selection Of food Very nice entertainment at bar in evenings Loved Elvis impersonator 👍 Our room is very nice with lots of cupboard space Will definitely be coming back next year

Once again my husband and I have spent our winter holiday at this perfect hotel. We do not usually return to the same destination but cannot seem to find anywhere to match this wonderful place, hence our numerous visits. From the moment we walk through the doors we are greeted like family and given an attentive service consistently throughout our stay. The rooms are absolutely spotless and maintained to a high standard. The outdoor space is luxurious and never too crowded, there are always sunbeds available. The food is delicious in all three restaurants, suitable for all tastes and budgets. The entertainment in the bar is varied each evening and suitable for all ages with a great atmosphere. Most guests have stayed here previously, many on more than one occasion throughout the year. An absolutely fabulous place to relax and unwind. Counting down the days until we return.

My daughter and I stayed at JOIA El Mirador for a special mother-daughter trip and truly enjoyed our experience. I decided to splurge on this hotel (it is pricey), and I’m so glad I did. We opted for the all-inclusive rate, which included breakfast and dinner buffets. We visited from March 1-6, and unfortunately, the weather was uncharacteristically rainy and overcast for five of the six days. While that was a bit of a letdown, we still made the best of it and absolutely loved Tenerife—we're already planning to return! The locals assured us that this kind of weather is rare, as the island typically sees only about 30 rainy days per year. Thoughts on JOIA El Mirador: General Impressions: - Walking into the hotel feels like stepping onto the set of Cocoon (for those familiar with the movie). The guest demographic skews heavily toward an older crowd—about 90% of visitors were 60+, with many in their 70s. - Shopping opportunities were limited, as the hotel is about 1.5 hours from Santa Cruz, where local markets and traditional shops are located. The stores nearby cater more to high-end shopping. What We Loved: - Breakfast Buffets: The absolute highlight—everything was fresh and delicious. - Cheese Station: A great selection of cheeses to enjoy each morning. - Fresh Bread Loaves: Baked daily and absolutely divine. - Fresh Honeycomb: A big hit with my daughter, who loves honey. - Outstanding Customer Service: Huge thanks to Leticia and Alejandro in the dining room, and Orlando at the pool. Their attention to detail was incredible—by our second day, they remembered our names and even our usual orders. One morning, we returned from the buffet to find two cappuccinos already waiting at our table—just the way we liked them. - Immaculately Maintained Resort: Both the interior and exterior were spotless. Comfort at the Pool: Blankets were available for cooler days, which was a thoughtful touch. Orlando was always ready to help set up lounge chairs wherever we wanted. Recommendations: - Explore Beyond Adeje: Tenerife has so much to offer beyond the hotel area. I highly recommend the Private Excursion to Masca Village & Garachico. Our guide was fantastic—an expert driver who navigated the narrow, winding roads of Masca with ease. If you’re considering renting a car for this tour, I strongly advise against it. The roads are extremely tight, with hairpin turns, and require serious skill—leave it to the professionals! Areas for Improvement: - Given the high nightly rates, charging extra for water at dinner felt unnecessary. - The sushi on Asian theme night was disappointing. - Desserts were just okay—nothing particularly memorable. Helpful Tips: - Promenade Walks & Runs: The oceanfront promenade is perfect for getting in exercise—great for walking or running (though be prepared for inclines). Tips: - There’s a side door near the spa and pool area that leads to the promenade. You’ll need your key card to re-enter. - Lounge Chair Strategy: Plenty of loungers are available, but if you prefer a specific spot, you’ll need to claim your chair early (around 7:45-8:00 a.m.), as many guests stake their claim first thing in the morning. - Strong Sun: Since Adeje is close to the equator, the sun is intense—even on our one sunny day, we got noticeable tans. Be sure to use sunscreen. - Flying Ryanair? Arrive Early. If departing from Tenerife, get to the airport at least three hours before your flight. Check-in lines for Ryanair are notoriously long, and there are no kiosks to bypass the wait.

Perfect in every way! This hotel is like an oasis of calm, the Star Prestige area in particular is extremely tranquil, even when the hotel has full occupancy. I would definitely recommend booking this area if possible. The level of attentiveness from all the staff was exceptional. Tiziana was particularly helpful in arranging an urgent hospital consultation for me, which was greatly appreciated. Special thanks also to Diana, Alexandra, Jonathan, Davide and Mario and every member of staff we had the pleasure of meeting. We will definitely return to see you all again. Kind regards Carol
