This was our second stay at the hotel and we were not disappointed. I've not attached any photos because there are plenty available online so I've simply provided our personal experience of using the hotel. Our travel agent advised that the reception area was undergoing upgrades and to expect some noise but, when we arrived, the works were complete and the new improved reception looked fantastic. We experienced a quick check-in process and were greeted with a glass of "bubbly". The reception staff were very friendly and offered us upgraded rooms for an additional cost but we stuck with the basic rooms and were not disappointed. Our rooms (742 & 743) faced the shopping centre and mountains to the side although we also had a partial view of the sea and the island of La Gomera. The advantage of these rooms over our previous "pool view" rooms was that they were in the shade all day so we were able to enjoy a slightly cooler room and balcony. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with a fantastic large "walk-in" shower. They were freshly decorated with no damaged floor or wall tiles and they had ample storage space. The only negative is that you have to pay 27 euros for the safe which, in my opinion, should be complimentary unless the hotel will guarantee the complete safety of all your valuables. For an additional 20 euro's each deposit, you can rent large towels which you can exchange for fresh ones at any time and you get your money back when leaving which is a fantastic deal and very useful saving you from having to pack towels. The hotel was immaculate as were all the various pool areas. There is a large, general pool, a slightly smaller pool and kids pool. There is also a large spa style area with a generous, bubbling spa and sun loungers partially submerged in water. Last time we were at the hotel this area was used mainly by the younger crew taking facetube pics etc lol but you could still easily use it due to the size. This trip however, the spa area was much quieter. At several times during our stay the bar staff came around the sun loungers offering ice cream or cocktails which was a nice touch. For the kids there were two freezers, the left one contained the free all inclusive ice cream choices and the right one held the branded ice creams but the all inclusive ice creams were absolutely fine. The restaurant had a great selection of different food on offer which varied over the 9 nights we stayed. The food was replenished quickly and looked freshly made with most main meat, poultry and fish dishes being cooked on the grill as you waited but you never waited long because the staff have perfected their systems and it's seamless. There's also and external snack bar serving a good variety of more regular food and kid friendly foods so you never went hungry. We had sirloin steak on offer a couple of nights but the only thing missing was a suitable sauce (peppercorn or similar) or gravy. I did notice on occasion, the chef bringing out individual meals to some people which I assume was catering for their specific dietary needs. There are two main bars, the pool bar and reception area bar both of which are well staffed and offer a huge selection of local and premium drinks. If you ask for Bacardi then that's what you get but if you ask for white rum you'll get the local version so the choice is yours. The pool bar is "double sided" serving the large outside area and the inside lounge area. The bar at reception level was slightly quieter with a more subdued, relaxed feel but excellent selection of entertainment and the pool bar was the venue for the main entertainment and was always busy but, I never had to wait long to be served. Additionally, there were bottles of prosecco and other wines chilling in ice buckets at the bar and you could simply stroll up and help yourself to a bottle without the need to queue. Unlike many hotels I've been to, the entertainment was excellent with a variety of acts brought in and the in house animation crew. Now, "animation crew" doesn't do them justice, they put on a fantastic show almost every night and even included some acrobatics. We were there for Halloween and the level of detail, changing stage sets, make up etc was worthy of any West End show. Bearing in mind, these folk are out entertaining the kids and adults with games and activities all day, every day to then find time to rehearse and put on amazing shows each night is a credit to the hotel and was one of our main considerations in returning to the hotel. This is the friendliest hotel we have stayed at with every single member of staff pulling out all the stops to make your stay with them memorable and special and I hope you show your appreciation with tips because they certainly earn and deserve them. In my opinion, there is no better place to stay in Costa Adeje. Now, a couple of very slight gripes which did not spoil or negatively impact our stay, but more along the lines of my recommendations for slight improvement are as follows; 1. In my opinion the safe should be included in the room price. 2. Although we do not smoke I felt sorry for the smokers at night because, the pool level (main entertainment level), smoking area is quite a distance from the bar area and located to the rear near the spa area. During the day this "smokers corner" works well but, at night, you run the risk of tripping and falling into the pool after enjoying too many cocktails. I would suggest an evening smokers area located just above the steps to the pool on the right-hand side which is quite close to the main area but segregated enough from the general seating area. 3. There isn't really sufficient seating at the lower (main) entertainment area in front of the stage so you find yourself sitting to one side, far away from the stage therefore missing all the fun and action. My suggestion is to provide a large projector screen which could be dropped down, or permanently fixed to the large balcony area between the restaurant windows and the more private, astro-turfed sun lounger area which is accessed via the spiral stair. Onto this screen you would project the image taken from a camera facing the stage so that, no matter where you sat, you would be able to enjoy the show, similar to the screens you have at large concerts etc. Remember, the above are simply my observations and not objections or complaints but I do think the stage type screen would increase the overall experience and enjoyment for your guests of the action on stage especially given the time and effort put into producing the shows. We arrived late evening November 2nd, about 8.45pm after a 20 minute transfer from the airport in a mini bus that did not have enough storage for every body’s suit cases. We were dropped off on the busy main road at the local bus stop and told to walk around the corner and up the steep hill about 50 metres to the reception area. We were given room number 276 and looked on the balcony to see what view we had but our view was terrible, the view being a hedge row on the ground floor that was hiding the local bus stop where we had just being dropped off at and two single beds joined together, the view from the room balcony was ZERO!. The road and people noise was very load all night long. We complained at reception the next morning and Marina said to wait till 11am and she would sort another room out when other guests check out and phone us when another room was available. Marina phoned us up and gives us another room, room number 443 which was the side road side which was quieter and had a view of the local shopping centre with a slight side sea view. The hotel is centrally located with a shopping centre at your doorstep and bars and restaurants are everywhere around you, Sian park waterpark is a ten minute walk away. The beach is a ten minute walk away and the bus stop to travel to the other resorts is straight outside the hotel on the main road. We were warned by Jet2 prior to travelling about work being carried out in the hotel, but this did not bother us as there was just a bit of painting going on. The room was big enough with plenty of storage for two adults, the room was clean and the bathroom was modern with soaps and conditioner provided in containers fixed on the wails The furniture was dated and was in need of updating but manageable for our needs for a week, we had a very comfortable double bed, Ice cold water is available on every floor you just fill you water jug up that was provided for you. Housekeeping was in our room every day, and made the beds and changed the towels; the room was always clean on our return. The food and drink was very good, in fact there was some days that we could not decide what to eat as the choice was so good! British sausages and the honey still in the honeycomb were really nice for breakfast. We had steak from the show cooking area that was nice but a couple of days later there was half inch thick PROPER steaks cooked however you liked, really nice tasting and cooked to perfection. Dressed lobster, lobster claws and king prawns along with a good variety of other fish dishes were also on the menu, burgers in buns were on the menu every day at lunch time sometimes big burgers and sometimes smaller burgers, but they were really nice proper meat burgers. Show cooking was always a choice of beef, fish and chicken, along with the show cooking there was a large variety of many other hot dishes, pastas stews and soups, also cooked meats, salads and cheeses as well as a good variety of desserts. The drink was all branded being; Larios gin, Bombay gin, Gordon’s gin , Gordon’s pink gin, and Beefeater gin, The whiskeys were; Johnny Walker red, Jim Beam, Ballantine’s and JB whiskey; the rum was Havana rum, vodka was Absolute or Smirnoff and Bacardi, amaretto and Disaronno was also available. Beer and wine and branded soft drinks are all on tap to help yourself, Bottles wine in the restaurant which was nice tasting and a welcome drink as you enter the restaurant, Prosecco freely available all day and night either by the glass or the bottle and the bar staff will even give you an unopened bottle of Prosecco to take to you room. The only issue that we had at the reception bar was that barman Manuel kept asking for TIPS and pointing at the tip basket, while the main barman just shook his head every time Manuel asked me to put a tip in the basket every time he served me!! There were three areas to sit on an evening, the large TV area behind the pool bar, which had football, sports and films and music on all the time, the main outside stage area (which requires some more stage lights on the stage gantry to light up the stage and dancing area as the stage was dark and you were basically watching silhouettes of the amination team). There was also an upstairs bar next to the reception with a pub style singer on every night that was just advertised as live music, so you did not know what sort of music that you were going to get, this needs advertised better. The only problem with the bars was that the entertainment finished at 10.30 orl11pm and the bar closes at midnight. There should be a disco or just music on to Finish of the evening entertainment. The greatest showman show performed by the animation team was poorly directed and performed, compared to the Iberostar Belle View in Montenegro to seek inspiration as there version was excellent, to make improvement’s as there show better as there performance of The Greatest showman was excellent. Overall all the entertainment was of a good standard both day and night, and liked the idea of the app for the quizzes may try to put the bingo also on an app as it was hard to understand the animation team say the bingo numbers.

HOTEL Hotel is in a great location in Costa Adeje. Short walk to some lovely beaches, Siam Park and a wide variety of restaurants and bars. It's nice and quiet on a night though - once the entertainment has finished! The staff at the hotel were all really friendly and the hotel is kept really clean. We've stayed at the Anthelia and the Bouganville previously and this hotel did feel slightly more dated but they were doing parts up during our stay. The pools were also not as warm as the other hotels but we were lucky that it was hot during our stay. Plus, this hotel is cheaper than the other two and there's obviously a reason for that! I would have preferred more space round the sunbeds but this is a problem in a lot of hotels - whatever their star rating! Downside of travelling in school hols! We wouldn't return to this hotel because we like trying new ones (though Iberostar are our faves), however I would recommend it for people who like AI. FOOD & DRINK As AI in Spain go this one was good. There was a nice choice of food and drink available throughout the day. We don't often go AI as prefer to eat out but we did eat in the restaurant one evening. Like a lot of hotels they have themed nights offering specific dishes but also have chefs available at the grill offering 3 different types of meat/ fish. We had breakfast here every day as well as lunch on several days. There are self-service drinks stations offering beer/ prosecco/ soft drinks/ water and a coffee machine. Great for avoiding queues. Though if you're wanting cocktails, or something from the bar, the queues always went down quickly. The snack bar by the pool is self-service and even has a toasty maker! The AI icecreams and lollies were really good too. ENTERTAINMENT We love Iberostar for the effort they put into their entertainment. Their entertainment team were fabulous - friendly and energetic. We particularly love that they offer a programme specifically for teenagers, though always feel it would benefit from a few more activities. A particular favourite with our 16 year old is water polo. This is always a big hit with adults too so I always feel they should offer this more frequently. ROOMS The rooms are a bit dated but this never bothers me. The beds were comfy, plenty of storage (which some modern hotels fail to offer) and a high standard of cleaning. The balcony area was a nice size and I paid extra for a pool view as I wouldn't want to be in one of the rooms looking onto the road. RESORT We love Costa Adeje and often visit this area. It's worth getting a taxi to 'Safari' in Las Americas for 10 Euros as it's lovely down there on an evening. We had a lovely meal at the Bank Steakhouse (booking essential). My kids favourite restaurant in Tenerife is Limoncello in Playa Fanabe. We always walk here - it takes 30 minutes but it's a nice walk along the coast and offers gorgeous sunsets. If you like beaches turn left out of the hotel, then left again. Once you get to Bouganville turn right and go down towards the beach. Don't stop at the first one you get to though as the sand is quite rough - my daughter really hurt her hip there one year so it's worth the extra steps to walk to the next cove (in front of the Monkey Beach bar). Plus you walk past a fab ice cream place!

Me and my mum are just about to come back from a 5 night trip. We have had a lovely time. Good points: Location is perfect Food is really nice and plenty of choice Drinks - Plenty of variety Staff - Extremely friendly and helpful Things that there are room for improvement: The hotel needs refurbishing in some parts and it needs decorating Rooms are dated but clean. Our 5 night trip was not cheap and when we arrived there was nothing in the fridge, not even 1 bottle of water. Sunbeds are virtually on top of one another. The service in the main restaurant at lunch is extremely slow, there's always dirty tables and they take a long time to set new tables up. The entertainment at night is extremely loud and the rooms are not sound proof at all. We stayed on the ground floor and there is a football table at the end of the corridor which echos so loudly and people are playing it very late at night. You have to pay 3 euros per day for the safe which is not alot but when you are paying over the average for 5 nights, this kind of thing should be included. All in all we had a lovely time and none of the bad points affected us that much but there definitely is room for improvement.
