Visited through Jet2 in Feb 25. Read the multi reviews, on here and elsewhere, drive yourself mad and eventually make a decision. This was the right one. On arrival to departure it was, unusually for me, just great. On arrival at reception we were offered the opportunity to upgrade to All Inclusive ( from half board) at a much discounted rate and we took it. Without really working out the extra cost of lunch plus drinks Inc mini bar it seemed a good deal and it was. The room was great, sea view, balcony, superb powerful shower, cleaned immaculately each day. No fights for sun loungers or parasols at the pools, again, immaculately clean. Pools overlooking the sea are non heated so ‘cool’ in February but the 3rd, inner pool is heated. The food, buffet restaurant and service was absolutely spot on. Extensive choice, constantly restocked and presented to a very high standard. Good wine choice in with All inclusive (not all wines included but Rioja for example was and it was perfect for us) San Miguel on Draft. Didn’t bother with the additional exclusive restaurants as very ‘nouvelle’ and at an additional (discounted if AI) cost. Staff polite, cheery can’t do enough for you. Evening Entertainment not our thing but it’s subjective and you can get away from it if needed( but the Spanish Beatles were actually really good!) location is great, out through a gate (key card secured) onto the sea front promenade and turn left towards the harbour and the usual Anglo Spanish bars and restaurants or right for more local traditional cafes and sights. Although we went as a couple, and during half term, there appeared to be good facilities for families and kids (clubs, crèches etc) and the chocolate fountain was a big hit! Would definitely return.

“Relaxing holiday”

Lovely room. Great staff throughout hotel. Good choice of food in restaurant. Pool area had plenty of choice for beds and staff always available for snacks and drinks. Gate onto promenade really a bonus! We ate in Italian restaurant on one occasion which was excellent and very handy.

Great welcome from reception when we arrived with a welcome towel and cold drink offered. Immediately offered an upgrade from B&B to All Inclusive or half board but we had already booked some meals out in local restaurants. Room - was located in Aida. On the small side to what we are used to. Limited storage space for luggage etc. Bathroom was not separate to the rest of the room. This is the first time I've experienced this and there was no privacy apart from a glass door when using the loo and shower. I think some guests will find this lack of privacy uncomfortable. Cleaned well every day and fresh towels and chocolate early evening. Entertainment was really not good but the older clientele that don't venture out in the evening seemed to enjoy it. We really didn't rate it at all. Pool - clean and lovely soft, thick towels. Comfy sunbeds. Was surprised the bar staff wanted to charge me to refill my water bottle, which the hotel encourages, so I had to walk to the main building each time I needed it refilled. Smoking by the pool - how is this still allowed?! We had an older lady smoking all day next to us one day. It was horrible and as non smokers we weren't pleased. I found the drinks expensive and not great - 12 euro for an Aperol Apeitz or pre mixed cocktail.. Beer nice and cheaper. Location - right between Playa del Duque and Playa Fanabe. The Duque side is more upmarket and restaurants more expensive. The Fanabe side a bit more Benidorm with Irish bars etc but restaurants were good and cheaper. We didn't have a bad meal once. Would we go back? Probably not. Preferred the room space, infinity pool and entertainment of the Riu Palace last year.
