“moderate hotel next to black sand beach”

average hotel, next to black send beach. rooms need some remodel. grounds need some upkeep. price was right. soundproof is weak. only 2 elevators. buffet was mediocre. room was clean. extra sofa and kitchenette was helpful. view depends on a room type.

First time visit to la caleta to stay.we have been coming to Tenerife for over 30 years. Hotel 3 stars which is right. Could do either done updating but you cannot fault the friendly staff. Food was not the best but that was what was to be expected st 3 stars which is hotel. The location is amazing with great walks to hard rock hotel and beyond. We walked to los cristinanos, m, about 5 miles and got the bus back. For about €6. The roof top bar area, adults only, was a real welcomed surprise.

Lovely and clean hotel, understood it was out of the way of the busy places which is what we wanted just a shame that there was not much for children I have seen recently that on school holidays there was entertainment but when we arrived for 10 days in September it seems that they had already decided this was not needed which is a real shame at best there was 8/10 families at the evening entertainment which was not the best. Staff not very accommodating to disabled people at hotel even when logged with jet 2 such a shame with its lovely location, food was very repetitive and not a lot of choice again stuck as not much nearby would not not recommend to family and friends at the time of year we went mid sept but lots to see and do on Tenerife

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions over the years and always found everything perfect and enjoyed our stays, It is a lovely hotel in a pleasant quiet location. However there has been a change of management this year and there has been changes made that are not in keeping with the the usual happy friendly atmosphere of the hotel. We had a superior room which was lovely with fantastic sea views, Cleaning service every day and evening turn down and new towels service with chocolates was perfect. Angela and Julia on reception and Sebastian the Bar Manager were always pleasant and very helpful as usual. The breakfast is still good although the fresh fruit is now served sliced or cubed and the bananas are served already peeled making them look very unappetising. No pancakes available and at times no fried eggs available. There was not enough choice of meat or vegetables on the dinner menu. The food is only warm, Chips every day with other potato dishes only served periodically. Also very .limited variety of desserts, Only one knife and fork on the tables per person and when I went and helped myself to extra cutlery a very rude waitress told me that I could not have any more than what was on the table. After the first week we went out for dinner every night because the food was not to the hotels previous standards The Christmas gala dinner was a terrible experience. 2 days previous we had to queue for 35 mins to collect the dinner tickets. The variety of seafood, mainly prawns and mussels was very sparse compared to the last few years when there was crab and lobster claws on the menu. The food was served just warm and the poached salmon was raw in the middle. The roast meat was overcooked and dry. No vegetables available and the only potato choice was chips. The buffet was not being replenished quick enough causing people to queue down the restaurant where people were sitting eating. Not enough choice of desserts but again the dessert buffet was not being replenished quick enough. I lodged a complain about the restaurant with a member of staff and gave my room number but management did not follow it up. We would come again to stay but only on a bed and breakfast basis until the restaurant problems are sorted out. The entertainment is hot and miss,
