We have been to this hotel 6 times and booked again for next January. The hotel is adults only which suits us fine.The food and drinks are excellent. The staff very friendly and they keep it very clean and tidy. The entertainment is on the whole very good, some nights better than others. It can be a little noisy in the evening. The hotel is in a nice area of Costa Adeje with a scenic walk to Caletta, approx one hour or a busy walk to Cristionos around 2 hours. The hotel receives many repeat customers.

“Excellent spotlessly clean hotel”

We arrived late evening to a warm welcome and a glass of fizz. We were allocated room 203 which had a nice private balcony and got full sun all day. We arrived late evening to a warm welcome and a glass of fizz. We were allocated room 203 which had a nice private balcony and got full sun all day. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided daily. The staff work hard and keep this hotel spotlessly clean. The restaurant buffet had an excellent range of food available and the main bar area is beautiful with a large selection of sofas and different type seating available giving a nice modern feel and the drinks were enjoyable. The outside areas are also spotless. Overall we have had an excellent stay so far and have already booked to return here January 2026

“501-Great Experience”

Hotel is great very friendly staff and very helpful. The location and the views is perfect if you like to walk around. The food and the drink is great quality so won’t need to go out for food if you didn’t want to. Entertainment is great very accommodating with the shows and events they put on.

We have been coming to Hovima at Christmas for several years now and although it is still a great hotel, it does not quite seem to be maintaining its exceptionally high all round standards. The buffet food is generally pretty good, but the Christmas gala dinner has not been quite so extravagant as in previous years. A la carte restaurant is great. All inclusive spirits are local brand and not too good. Premium branded spirits can be purchased at additional cost to your room. The rooms are kept clean, but possibly a little dated now. Beds are ok, but pillows are not the best. Wi-Fi is hit and miss. There is some gym equipment in the outdoor sports area, but the actual gym is kind of hidden under the beach volleyball court area. Every single member of staff is absolutely fantastic going out of their way to help you have a lovely holiday. The entertainment team are outstanding with Micky and Aldo having everyone in hysterics. Yeizel has grown in stature since he started and is doing a fantastic job. Alex, Omar and Pierina are fantastic new additions and together they are probably the best group of entertainers we have seen here and work really well as a team. Other staff members have such a great sense of humour that they are almost a continuation of the entertainment team. Some of the professional acts have been a bit hit and miss and there doesn’t seem to be as many acts this time. Personally we enjoy live singers and tribute acts with Miss Music band or The Shakers being our favourites. Christmas Eve is a bit flat as none of the entertainment team stay for the evening, which is completely understandable as they want to spend some quality time with their families. Evening entertainment on Christmas Day was also slightly disappointing, despite Pierina and Omar being great singers doing a fantastic job, we kind of expect a bigger extravaganza party night for Christmas Day. The opera singer didn’t really fit the occasion and her powerful voice felt too strong to be indoors. The excellence package seems to be creating a “them and us” situation. Part of the top pool area is segregated for excellence package only. We are told that this will soon become the whole area of the top pool. Also part of the buffet restaurant is for excellence only. Many long standing guests are feeling uncomfortable with the way the excellence package is going, even some of the excellence package customers have been voicing some concerns. New Year’s Eve gala dinner was lovely and the evening was a fantastic party night as always and we enjoyed every minute. We will almost certainly return as it is still a fantastic place and we know how outstanding they can be from our previous visits. It still stands out above most other hotels that we have been to.
