Just returned last week from the amazing Hotel Suite Villa Maria. The staff are really friendly and helpful - can’t do enough for you from the housekeeping team to reception and the breakfast restaurant staff. Housekeeping was immaculate, the villa was lovely and clean, fresh towels and pool towels, the pool area is stunning and there are plenty of sun loungers at any time of day, and the gardens are kept beautiful. Breakfasts were excellent with all you could wish for and plenty of it. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with whirlpool which was fantastic, plenty of space and beautiful views of the pool and sea. Lovely and unique to have your own space but in a hotel setting. It was our daughter’s birthday while we were there and the staff delivered a surprise chilled bottle of wine to our villa - a lovely most appreciated touch - thank you! We hired a car for the duration and the hotel parking was easy, situated underneath the hotel. La Caletta is the nearest village with plenty of lovely restaurants with different cuisine which we had our evening meal. We booked direct with the hotel which was an extremely easy and straightforward process, and the reservations team responded to emails straight away. “Amazing”

Amazing hotel, food is good pool is lovely and warm. The staff can’t do enough for you. Really relaxing hotel if you like a quiet place. Nice restaurants in the hotel and around the hotel if you want to venture out bit of a walk up the hill but there is always taxis for 5 euros to get you back up... more

“Almost perfect”

This is a lovely hotel, with great accommodation, well designed and spacious. We had a one bedroom villa and a lovely outside area well equipped with table, chairs, sun loungers and a fabulous whirlpool. We used the swimming pool areas too. The pools are lovely with thought given to access for those of us who aren’t so steady on their pins! There is some walking to do if you are further up the site, although a pickup can easily be arranged if you wish. We felt that the daily walk did us good. We had a great welcome upon arrival and were speedily taken to our villa. The grounds are beautifully maintained with lovely planting all around. At the time of our stay it seemed to me that the hotel was in some sort of transition period. We had one evening meal there which was a little disappointing and it wasn’t possible to book the a la carte whilst we were there. We tended to walk down into the town for an evening meal. There’s masses of high quality choice and prices were ok in the main. The walk back up the hill wasn’t so inviting but we usually got a taxi back for under five euros. Breakfasts were excellent. There was everything you could wish for and plenty of choice. As I left I did discuss the bar area with the hotel. This was a rather barren and sterile area, quite out of keeping with the rest of the place. You wouldn’t want to spend an evening there I think. To be fair the managers are aware of this and intend to effect improvements soon. It is certainly a downside to the hotel and was probably one of the reasons why folks tended to go out in the evening. In my review for the hotel’s feedback I said that the “jewel in the crown “ for this hotel are the staff. They are magnificent with exceptional service in all areas - the staff who cleaned the villas daily, the restaurant team, the lovely lady in the little shop and reception staff are a real credit to this place and provide truly brilliant service. Quite wonderful and they really helped us to enjoy our stay. Not a grumpy face in sight! I am very happy to recommend Hotel Suite Villa Maria as a great place to stay. Get that bar sorted out and it’ll be perfect.

“Vile food.”

We absolutely love Hotel suites Villa Marie, this is the third year we have returned. Although, both restaurants in the hotel were abysmal this year. The food was awful. We absolutely love Hotel suites Villa Marie, this is the third year we have returned. Although, both restaurants in the hotel were abysmal this year. The food was awful. We had paella from the restaurant at the pool, tasted like washing up liquid. Tonight we tried the Italian restaurant upstairs and all of our meals were disgusting. The mushroom risotto was like cold rice pudding, the spaghetti carbonara was hard salty pasta and the lasagna was cold. Nothing worse than paying alot of money for terrible food. Definitely not 5 star. Even though the food is vile the hotel staff have been nothing short of incredible. So friendly and accommodating, one of the main reasons we have returned year after year. Please fix the terrible food! We want to come back however we will not if the food is this disgusting again.
