“Lovely stay”

Beautiful hotel, spotless facilities. Loved the beach infinity pool and food was excellent, catering well for vegetarians. All staff were friendly and hard working.

Husband and I visited the Riu Arecas back in July 2024 after taking the recommendation from the Tui assistant within the store we visited. I am so glad to went for this hotel! It was beyond relaxing, welcoming, super clean and all staff were so incredibly friendly, especially the waitering team who worked around the pools in the day and also in the evenings. I have visited a few Riu Hotels in different locations around the world and I can never fault them. I loved that this hotel was an adults only hotel. It was so peaceful at all times and in a beautiful area, away from the busy riff raff. The pool areas at the top were lovely! So clean and we always managed to get a sun bed each day, early in the morning. The food in the buffet restaurant was varied from night to night. Plenty of choice to choose from. The hotel entertainment was ok. I would say it would be a lot better to have a mix up of entertainment from evening to evening rather than just singers. Overall we had a 10/10 holiday at Riu Arecas and would definitely visit again if we come back to Tenerife.

This is the most relaxing place ,the staff are excellent always a smile on their faces,food is very good lots of variety ..,Probably entertainment although good could stay on a little longer 9 until 10 30 seems a little short some acts even have a break in this time ,I understand about the noise... more

“Nice hotel, food a bit of a let down”

We stayed at the hotel as a group of friends however, it’s really one for couples only. On the plus side, our rooms on the lower ground floor were spacious, more like a suite. Reception staff very helpful, the pool areas are great and the staff at both pool bars are fab, especially near the infinity pool. The Rui neon party was good fun and very well organised. On a negative point, the food and restaurant experience was particularly disappointing and a huge let down. Some of the waiters came across quite rude, tables were left with dirty plates so you were often placing your clean plate of food on top of the dirty one. Some of the food was quite nice but the salad bar very disappointing. A la carte restaurant closed so after our second night, we ate out for 4 nights. Finally towards the end of our week, after a questionnaire in the restaurant, the food did improve. For a 4 star plus hotel, I was expecting so much more, the dining experience should have been so much better. First time in this chain of hotel, not sure I’d go again.
