Family of three visiting between 27 Aug to 3 Sep with Jet2. 20 min transfer from the airport. Small snag with airport losing wheelchair but Jet2 were excellent. Arrival and check was straight forward. Sat with a glass of Cava whilst Reception checked us in. Rooms were not ready (1230) so we stored bags and went to the pool. The hotel gave us access to a room to change which was excellent. We had two rooms near each other. 126 was a double / suite on the first floor overlooking the pool and was abeam the entertainment stage. Room was big with a balcony. A very large king size plus bed and enormous pillows! The room also had a settee bed which didn’t use. Fridge was replenished each day with water, beer and Coke Zero. Bathroom was ok but a little tired. Shower was awesome. Second room was a twin and a little smaller. Food was great throughout. We mainly ate at the buffet which always had a massive selection of food and catered for every taste. I note some reviews complained that food was cold but we never experienced that. We ate at the Italian restaurant which was simply superb as were the staff. Baguettes and rolls are available at the pool bar and were very good. Pool area was full of choice. We mainly used the pool area next to the pool bar. Sunbeds were generally available for most of the day but the hotel really does prevent anyone reserving sunbeds before 1000…your stuff will be removed (well done to the hotel for doing this). The pool bar staff were outstanding especially Leo. Drinks were all you could ask for…no complaints. Entertainment team were busy as they laid on plenty of daytime activities. The evening entertainment,entertainment catered for the largely middle-aged hotel guests. NB if you are on the stage-side of the hotel it is LOUD until 2300. The resort has loads going on. We were all-inclusive but there were plenty of restaurants for all tastes in the local area. It took 15 mins to walk to Las Americas and 15 mins to walk into the Adeje beach and marina. Both had a lot going on and the hotel is brilliantly positioned to exploit both of these resorts. We would highly recommend the Gran Tinerfe. It was spotlessly clean and a very friendly hotel. The resort is pretty busy and there was a high tempo nightlife available if you wanted it or the calm of the hotel.

BARS POOL AREA YES YOU AT TO WAIT BUT NOT FOR LONG .BAR INSIDE AT NIGHT VERY NICE AREA , THE ONLY TIME THAT WASENT TO GOOD WAS AT NIGHT WHEN WE WERE WATCHING THE ENTERTAINMENT , THE GUYS CAME ROUND AND YOU EITHER PUT YOUE HAND UP OR OTHER WAY FOR THEM TO NOTICE YOU , WE DID HAVE A FEW TIMES THEY JUST LOOKED AT US AND WALKED PAST WHAT !!!! SO I WENT UP TO THE BAR AND GOT OUR DRINKS FROM THERE NO BOTHER AND QUICKER . WE DID LIKE THAT WRIST BAND IDEA OF HAVING THE WAY YOU OPENED YOUR DOOR SO MUCH QUICKER THEN TRYING TO RUMMAGE IN YOUR HAND BAG OF A NIGHT TIME LOOKING FOR YOUR KEY / CARD TO GET IN LOL ( AFTER YOUVE AHD A FEW !!!! OTHER SO ALL IN ALL A GOOD TIME HAD THANKS TO EVERYONE

The staff were super friendly and always smiling. There was a brilliant party at the hotel on one of the nights which was excellent and so much fun for all age groups. The chillout bar is a prefect place to have cocktails and watch the sunset. The alcohol range is a premium alcohol range which is even better for enjoying those drinks. A coffee shop was also at the hotel. The hotel has a few different areas offering different atmospheres, the pool area played brilliant music and fun place to be, meanwhile the acclimatised pool was calmer and next to the coffee shop. There were a few Jacuzzis dotted around for use also. The food was good and consistent in quality. Not much choice day to day. However the Italian restaurant at the hotel served one of the best steaks I've ever had...... We had had a great stay here.
