This is our second stay at this hotel. The last time we stayed in a standard room but this time we decided to book a junior suite. Staying in a junior suite entitled us access to the platinum club and the infinity pool in the platinum bathing area. We were also able to book breakfast and dinner in the platinum club restaurant and dinner in the Roast restaurant. You weren’t limited to 1 visit, so we visited each restaurant 3 times for dinner during our stay. Each visit was really good in both restaurants. The food was of good quality and all of the staff were so friendly and the service was excellent. We loved the pool area and the fact that you could book your sunbeds on the APP (one of the reasons we returned to the hotel). In our opinion, paying the extra for the platinum club was definitely worthwhile. However, if I went again I would not book a junior suite. I would book a side sea view junior suite. The reason for this and the reason I only rated our stay 4 stars ( I would have rated 4 1/2 stars if that was an option) is because the junior suites are on the front of the hotel on floors 1 & 2. We were given a room on floor 1 (1004). As I have a disability I found it really difficult to climb the hill (my name for it) up to the lift to go to the restaurants etc. There was a lift which took you up to the 5th floor (outside) further along the first floor but we weren’t aware of the this until a few days before the end of the holiday. Maybe the hotel & the travel companies should advise of the suitability of these rooms for people with disabilities. Also, there was very loud music coming from one of the bars a couple of nights till around midnight (not the hotels fault of course), it was so bad you would have thought there was a band playing in our room. We aren’t light sleepers at all and can usually sleep through anything, but we could not through this. Some sort of better soundproofing would have been appreciated. All in all we did have a good holiday.

Second visit and wanted to try the platinum upgrade this time. Enjoyed the hotel even more this time due to the facilities you get to use compared to the standard booking. Sunbed app easy to use as with booking the restaurants for night time. We alternated between the platinum and the roast restaurant each evening. Buffet restaurant I felt had went downhill from our previous visit and that was one of the reasons we had decided to return the following year. I was glad we upgraded to platinum as the buffet restaurant choices and quality was vastly reduced . Seemed like they had half the food out that was on offer the previous year. Maybe trying to save money? Still loved the hotel and would definitely return but would book platinum again.

Our first stay at this stunning hotel. The 30 minute journey from the airport was perfect. The long promenade at the front of the hotel allows easy walking for miles along the seafront passing as many bars and restaurants as you could ever need. Our check-in experience was one of the best we’ve ever had, the receptionist was really friendly and had a good laugh and a joke with us while explaining the hotels facilities and services. The wristbands which served as both your room key and allowed to you charge drinks etc to your room was genius. Our side seaview room was spacious and clean. (I’m not keen on the open plan bathroom with glass walls as in my opinion they give little privacy. As much as I love my travelling companion, there are some things we don’t need to share.) We found the restaurant to be excellent value for money. It’s buffet style with lots of options every day, it does feel a little ‘canteen like’ as it gets very busy serving so many people. We have no complaints. We appreciated the online sun-lounger booking facility. Although it would help if everyone joined in. That said, there are many sunbeds and I suspect it would only be in very high season where all sun lounger areas would be full. As we were on holiday to rest and relax, we managed to find the quiet area with side sea views away from the pool area. My only criticism of the hotel was the noise in our bedroom every night, which was coming not from ‘the strip’ but from the entertainment area. In all our years of travel we can honestly say we have never been anywhere where the noise is so loud you may as well try and sleep on the dancefloor. The hotel lobby has an open plan design and therefore many bedroom doors are the only barrier between the noise in the lobby from the entertainment area and your bed. I believe this to be a design fault. For this reason and this reason alone we are unlikely to stay at the hotel again. Everything else was perfect, but we went on holiday for a quiet, relaxing break which was marred by what was to us an unacceptable level of noise which went on until midnight every night
