Perfect family christmas break. We have already booked for next christmas. The entertainment and festivities were amazing! A christmas band, santa came and the staff did a christmas song at breakfast! Pools are amazing and not cold for my 4 and 1 year old - they loved it. There is a park, soft play and bouncy castle which is great Location great for the beach and bars and restaurants. Breakfast was good rest of the food wasn't very good but it never is at Spanish hotels for us as we prefer to go out so that does not mean others will not like it!

“Great place to stay for a winter holiday.”

This was our first winter holiday and our 5 month olds first ever holiday. I only have positive things to say. We booked this holiday over year ago when I realised I would be on maternity leave over the school Xmas holidays and being a teacher I could finally take advantage of a “cheaper” holiday. It was a great little package find through Easy Jet holidays. We arrived at GF Isabel just before 9pm, we were greated by a friendly receptionist who quickly informed us that their restaurant shut at 9pm, she gave us our meal card and directed us down to the restaurant so that we could get food. She said we would be checked in after eating. The restaurant staff were lovely. There was no issue of us arriving at closing time and they even checked we had had enough to eat and that our son got a desert. One of the porters helped us with our cases to our bungalow, pointing out different parts of the complex on the way. We had booked a bungalow style accommodation and I had requested and upstairs bungalow. I had an email to say my request had been acknowledged and they would do their best to accommodate…that they did. We stayed in bungalow 510 which is situated at the top of the main stairs to the main pool and just round the corner from the restaurant/reception and bar. We had our own little garden terrace which had the sun on it until gone 6. The bungalow had 1 bedroom which was spacious and we could have kept the travel cot in there, however, we decided to have the travel cot in the living room and I slept there with our daughter so that I did not disturb my son when making the 6am bottle. The couch was quite comfortable (I’ve slept on worse). The facilities in the bungalow were perfect for what we needed. On our first full day we had beds around the bigger pool, with no issue in getting them. We walked around the complex which was a lot bigger than we anticipated but not overwhelming. Although, I can imagine it to be very busy in the summer. The hotel has a football pitch and basketball court, a zip wire, bouncy castle and mini golf. This is where my son Spent most of his time. We spent the rest of or holiday around the quieter pool. Again no issue at all getting 3 bed in a decent spot each day. We mainly got the same spot each day so that we could put the push chair on the end of the row. We stayed half board so had to pay for drinks, the bar staff were friendly and hard working. One thing is you can not pay cash at the bar or in the restaurant. I found this out before we came out so put some Money into my Monzo account and used that. Once that had gone we opened a tab and paid for it upon leaving. I kept hold of my receipts to check off when we came to pay our tab. We could at what our balance was anytime at reception to keep an eye on Our spends. We had breakfast and lunch eat day in the hotel and it suited us with a variety of food that we all eat. We eat out each night. Bars and restaurants only a short walk away. The maid came to our room each day and changed our towels. Would I return back to this hotel i definitely would but in the less busy periods as I can imagine I would get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of people that would be here In the summer busier period.

“Lovely staff, could do with some updating”

This was our second year at GF Isabel for New Years, we booked for a week in a 1 bed bungalow. We had one right at the pool (732) so that was very handy. Loved that the pool was locked until 10am so stopped a bit of the madness that can happen. Pool gets shaded early this time of year so that's a pity. Kids had great fun with the inflatables. The bungalow was fine (we had a one bed villa last year but couldn't get one for our dates this year) but could do with updating, light fixture missing over cooker, tiles missing grout but it was fine for what we needed. There was also a bit of a damp smell in the room that we felt was from the kitchen? We weren't in the room much so just tried to air it out. We really enjoyed NYE it was great fun and had super entertainment, it was very quiet the other nights. We had family join us for a few days and they had the one bed villa and really highlights how dated the bungalows are. Staff (especially Monika) were very helpful on reception when my husband hurt his foot so thank you for that. We used ZipTransfer for the airport return journey and they were great. All in all another lovely stay but I feel its missing something, no welcome drink or bottle in the room (especially as returning customers it would be a nice gesture). Yet our family who came for the first time did due to having the villa, its the small touches that matter, especially at peak expensive season. The towels for the rooms and pool ones, some are very thin and worn and could do with upgrading. For next year we have decided to go back to the Radisson Mogan for New Years, works out pretty much the same price wise but felt a bit more comfort for the cost.
