Fantastic hotel that I can’t recommend enough. Spacious, clean rooms with stunning views - we had a pool/sea view on the third floor. The hotel is spotless and has robots cleaning the floors and tidying up plates in the restaurant. Breakfast is amazing and lunch has a good selection. We were HB and only eat breakfast and lunch at the hotel, as we wanted to dine out in the evening. There are plenty of restaurants and small bars near the hotel and at the beachfront. Hotel is in a great location, only 10 minutes from the beach. Pools are huge, clean and beautifully designed. Everyday there are pool activities i.e aqua aerobics etc. Recommend sitting and ordering food at the pool bar, its much nicer than the AL bar food. Drinks were good and the hotel offer premium brands. Couldn’t fault the service provided, staff were friendly and attentive. Entertainment on the evening is aimed at an older clientele but plenty of other options nearby the hotel. Having stayed at many 5* hotels, I would say you cannot fault this hotel for the price you are paying. Only con we had, is that you have to dine inside for lunch if using HB, which was annoying as we preferred to dine outside near the pool. Fantastic holiday for 2 families with children.

Went for 1 week at the end of September with family/family friends and there were 6 of us in total. This is the 2nd time my family has chosen the GF Gran and 1st for our friends. I could quite simply not recommend the GF Gran enough. There wasn't a member of staff that was not kind, attentive and friendly in every part of the hotel. Rooms are beautiful, maybe dated however I never had an issue throughout my stay. Pool area always kept clean and food (breakfast and in Aguita) was without fault. Poolside activities such as the pool competitions, aqua aerobics and others were always wonderful. The animation team are absolutely wonderful, Samuel and another male animation member who wears glasses were brilliant every day. We attended the Aqua Aerobics most days and always had the most fun. Samuel in particular had me dancing at the side of the pool (with 4 others) and assisting with directing the movements both times he took the activity. As someone with anxiety it was petrifying but so fun and it was clear that he appreciated my taking part. At the time we were visiting I think there might have been two new members of the animation team getting to grips with the activities. They were both lovely and danced with us at the side of the pool during aqua aerobics even though they seemed a little nervous they took part and it made me feel better that I wasn't the only person who was nervous about dancing. When we were here, World Tourism Day was on. The kitchen staff put out some lovely samples of food and the animation team took part in a presentation dressing as different countries. It was fun as they walked around chatting with all the people on sunbeds and it was a great way to spend the morning. When we went to get some food all the animation staff were making sure we had enough to eat and tried a little bit of everything. Aguita is a lovely place to sit and have a cocktail and read. I could have sat there for hours, food was delicious every time (I am a plain eater so not much of the menu sampled) and I drank nothing but Mojito's all week and I couldn't fault them. There's a lovely staff member there, I didn't catch her name but she works in the restaurant area and seems to be a manager/supervisor. She was absolutely lovely and chatted away with me on my last day asking how long it would be for me to travel and asking had I enjoyed my stay. We spent a bit of time late on at night in the hotel bar, we often missed the acts as we were coming back from dinner elsewhere and sat outside. Once again, the staff were amazing, attentive and friendly. Jesus in particular is a lovely man who when my younger sibling asked about learning some Spanish he was happy to teach us some. I've seen some reviews here mentioning the air conditioning now working, can only speak for our group but we stayed in 256+257 and there were no issues. In fact I had to turn it off a few nights as I was too cold 😆 In conclusion, the hotel was really the highlight of my trip. I couldn't fault it and I don't know how I will cope when it's closed next year. I'm sure we can all expect bigger and better things from GF Gran in 2025.
