We’ve visited this area over 20 times in nearby hotels and this is our first visit here to the GF Fanabe Check in was quick and easy. Our room was nice if a little old fashioned but all perfectly good and cleaned daily. The restaurant was great. A huge choice of meat and fish dishes available which is more than I can say for other similar priced and rated hotels in this area. Drinks were great too. It was nice to have drinks served in glass at the front bar and pint tankards for beer as opposed to plastic or paper although drinks around the pool and the roof terrace are serve in plastic. Which is understandable. Table service in the restaurant and at both bars. Entertainment team were great. We only joined in the bingo a few times but they always gave a friendly hello and seemed happy to chat whenever we met them throughout the day. Roof top terraces were fab. Really comfortable loungers with full length pads on and lots of comfortable sofa sets with footstools and tables scattered around. Plenty of shops and bars in the area and the beach is a very short way down a hill that seems a lot steeper on the way back… We had a great stay and would definitely return

“Birthday treat”

Our second visit to this hotel as we loved it the first time. I have to say that since we visited 2 years ago the food has gone downhill, it is cold and the selection at lunch and evening meal is not what it was. My husband ended up with the runs for his birthday!! We daren't move far from the toil… more

Our second visit to this hotel as we loved it the first time. I have to say that since we visited 2 years ago the food has gone downhill, it is cold and the selection at lunch and evening meal is not what it was. My husband ended up with the runs for his birthday!! We daren't move far from the toilet for that day, took a day or two for this to settle. Hotel itself is still beautiful with fabulous staff and is spotless, we love the rooftop terrace, even though the pool was freeeeezing!! Improve the food to previous standards and we may return.

“Very average.”

Pros, beds are comfortable, hotel and rooms are nice and clean. Entertainment was good, I did TAI CHI , WATER GYM , both good fun. I had a massage and facial by Alexis, very good. Pros, beds are comfortable, hotel and rooms are nice and clean. Entertainment was good, I did TAI CHI , WATER GYM , both good fun. I had a massage and facial by Alexis, very good. Food Average, a bit repetitive, not many GF options. Cons, I arrived after 10 pm and was surprised to see no food had been left for me , not even a bottle of water in the room, I was advised to go order at the bar, as all shops nearby were closed , what happens if the bar is also closed when you arrive? I think it’s very poor for a 4* hotel not to provide at least water. No kettle in room, you need to pay €10 deposit and €1.50 per day for a wee plastic kettle. Only one accessible socket, other was behind dresser. Air con was very poor if working at all. Please note the hotel is on a steep hill as is typical of this area.

Overall I am disappointed with our stay here. We booked as a family of 4 with 2 toddlers 2yrs & 4yrs. Seemed great for family's but couldn't be more wrong. A tiny kids pool which is cold & although it gets very hot weather wise in daytime the concrete walls of this hotel shade the most part of all pool bar the adult only pool on roof which is not good for families. Main pool gets sun for 3 hours but hard to get a bed. There is a small park on site and mini golf & a tiny shop inside but can't get much essential bits at all. Luckily it's a stones throw from hippadino for food bits and essentials We booked full board and really would of loved to eat in hotel most days and get our monies worth but by God it's slim pickings for English. You do get an English breakfast buffet mind can't fault that in morning but other than that meats aren't fresh , breads are stale . We don't have picky eaters but my som refused all meals due to the taste so we had to eat out 70% of time spent over £1500 in 6 days not going on any trips just essential bits from supermarket and meals out often missed lunch so make sure you bring spends if you are staying here. We haven't baught any gifts oflr luxuries. I wouldn't say it's expensive country but hotel shops as expected are. The clientele is elderly, we felt like we were overstaying at an elderly home & not a family hotel. I have stayed gf hotels before. The cleanliness is amazing I will say no complaints on cleanliness . If you are a family with kids especially any over 5s it's worth considering a different hotel honestly costa adeje in itself is a lovely quiet area of tenerife walking distance to fanabe beach, shops and the hustle & bustle of Las Americas but not enough here in general for children by any means. If you haven't been tenerife don't make this hotel your 1st one if you have kids as it will put you off. I wish we went lower star & stayed in las Americas I thought maybe we would escape hustle and bustle and riff raff staying in adeje but it was too quiet for us. Night entertainment is dull doesn't begin till 9pm. Kids club starts at 8 15pm and is a small fenced off area in lobby with a cd player & a ball to kick. Minimal pool entertainment which I didn't mind however my kids would of loved mid morning snacks and were told no because we wernt all inclusive which I wanted to pay but wouldn't allow any food even ice creams served until after 12.30 they wouldn't serve any bar snacks but had it all on display which was annoying explaining that to kids that were hungry because breakfast was so diar I wish I knew this before booking because I would reconsider hotels. It's a fabulous place to visit this island but hotel overall very outdated. I came 10yrs ago & it has not changed since then. I'm not one to review my life is too busy but we pay enough for our holidays it's worth knowing if it's worth your money now this is not. If your over 50 & child free then yes maybe you would enjoy this hotel but families stay clear your littles will be bored unless your going out everyday I would revisit tenerife this is my 3rd trip to the island but not this hotel there are so many better options out there
