“No Air conditioning in the rooms. 3 star at best”

We stayed here for a week from Sept 27th as a party of 3 adults and 3 children,9,9 and 11. We had a 2 bed apt on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool. Its a lovely, small but quiet resort. It's perfectly suited for couples who want a quiet relaxing break away, but to be honest, it's not really suitable for children. There is no entertainment day or night and nothing whatsoever to do in the complex at night. I was so disappointed with this and it really took from the holiday. A large majority of the residents were of an older generation, as I believe this used to be a time share complex, so you kind of felt you had to keep the kids quiet and stop them splashing in the pool as a few older guests would throw a dirty look and mutter to their partner about having gotten a bit wet..! Our children were bored after the first day. The pool is nice and heated, but its too small. It narrows in the middle which made it kind of awkward when you're swimming. There are plenty of sunbeds and to be fair, there was no 'sunbed war'..! Yes you had the 7am sunbed snatchers, but there was always free beds The room was ok, bedrooms were a good size but the sitting room was tiny for 6 people. The table and chairs encroached so much into the free space between the couch and the table and then when the couch was pulled out for the kids to sleep, you couldn't pass between the 2 as there was no room..! The TV in the room wasn't smart and I hadn't brought our Chromecast with us so the kids were stuck with a TV with zero English speaking channels..! Oh and only 1 bathroom between 6 people was a big challenge let me tell you..!! NO AIR-CONDITIONING..! This was a truly awful experience. Just a ceiling fan in each room blowing warm air all over the place. It was so bad, one of our kids was up vomiting and couldn't sleep one of the nights because of the heat, it was so stuffy. Hard to believe that in that climate the Apts don't have Air-con..! The balcony was a good size though and nice to be overlooking the pool, but the handrail was covered in bird poo from all the pigeons. I don't think they clean that at all . The fuse board tripped out a few times one morning at 4am leaving us with no fans for about an hour.. Also we woke one morning to someone working on the outside of out balcony. I walked out and there was a man on scaffolding hacking away at the plaster..! I totally understand that repairs are necessary but we were annoyed that we were not made aware the day before that maintenance work would be carried out at 9am on our balcony..! I relayed all these issues to reception and they apologized about the lack of notice but offered little to no resolution to the lack of Air-con in the room. The food was a little hit and miss. I mean the breakfast was nice and there was a huge spread of everything you could ask for, but there was no orange juice. Instead it was diluted orange..! The dinners weren't worth the half board option. We ended eating out about 4 nights. Also the restaurant/food hall didn't have air-con either..! It was horrible in there at evening time because it was so stuffy. To see the staff sweating as they moved around was a bit yuck and there was a larger gentleman serving the room and he was covered in sweat patches.!! The pool food was nice and reasonable enough compared to other places we have stayed in. But the price of a beer was steep at €4.40.Pints available at the beach bars for €1.65..! I simply bought cans in the supermarket for €1.25 and tipped away at them instead. Most of the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The older man who checked us in at 01:30 am was a pig. He was so rude and acted as if you were putting him out. He never welcomed us, no talk from him and no help when we couldn't find our APT. He has no business working front of house that's for sure. And we are not the only party to share that opinion. Would I stay here again? No is the answer. And its mainly due to the rooms having NO AIR CONDITIONING and no entertainment either for adults or children. We paid €1920 for the 2 bed apt @ half board and to be honest, for a 3 star was a bit steep.

“Unsafe”

Stayed over Christmas. Atrocious rooms. Unsafe. Crap staff very rude. Food was bad. Old women on reception clearly hates her job. Full of attitude. Such a shame. Ruined our holiday. Will never return. Dangerous stairs. Book elsewhere. Trust me.
