Locate of hotel perfect for us just by the promenade & beach area Food served excellent, tremendous choose for both breakfast & evening meal( only had half board) Our room was spacious, clean & tidy & English TV channels to choose Infinity pool area exceptional, private no under 16s & banana trees whilst you have a drink or bite to eat at cafe area Evening entertainment not particularly good, but ok One night the main act didn’t turn up, but the warm-up DJ act stepped in & did well Alcoholic drinks very reasonably priced at bar Staff & room cleaners very good, our rooms being cleaned every day All in all an excellent hotel, resort & weather was brilliant, only issue was wish we had booke more than a week 🤣

Had a lovely time staying at the Troya for 5 nights B&B. Location is excellent and central to most things, right on the beach. Room was very good, we had a room on the second floor which was very spacious, clean and modern. House keeping came every day. We found the beds very comfortable and we slept very well - didn’t hear any noise. Breakfast was ok, good selection of things slightly odd layout as things that go together were in different locations. Breakfast was quite busy at times and had to circulate to find a table. We used the adults only infinity pool area which was excellent, really relaxing and well laid out. The food from the pool bar was great and reasonably priced. Would stay again.

“Hotel Troya, Tenerife ;tired, understaffed and overstarred”

We had an excellent trip to Tenerife and Hotel Troya, Playa Americas. On entering the bedroom we were met by our fellow guests - cockcroach gigantes. Changing rooms was OK allowing us to meet the other resident roach team. Restaurant was crowded and food good but never better than lukewarm by the time we were seated. This is the only 4 star we stayed in were the bars are so under -staffed that queus were the norm. Entertainment was unintentially hilarious and mostly provided a backdtop for geriatric line-dancing. It made me ashamed to be a pensioner. Apart from this the pools are good, location good, staff pleasant and efficient,

The only thing that let this hotel down was the food. As others have said it was always cold. There is a good selection but it's just not nice & doesn't even look appetising. The only thing that let this hotel down was the food. As others have said it was always cold. There is a good selection but it's just not nice & doesn't even look appetising. Every time we went for a meal there was always a shortage of cups, teapots, plates etc etc. Get all your extras before you get your meal. I had one cocktail which was horrible as it was from a machine and very sweet. Staff were very nice and especially girl with short dark hair. Didn't get her name but usually working in the bars. Was a bit worried about the reviews regarding the noise but it was absolutely fine. I had a sleepless night once but that was because of inconsiderate people in the next room & no fault of the hotel. Rooms were spacious, lovely shower, fridge & tea/coffee facilities. Infinity pool is lovely, quiet and plenty of sunbeds. Good location, near to everything.
