Have reviewed this hotel many times in the past. Again, another visit to this peaceful and relaxing adults only hotel. Very welcoming arrival at reception and noticed new carpets had been fitted in the corridors on the way to our room. Room as always spotless and housekeeping first class. Can’t be faulted. The excellent outdoor swimming pool was rather a cold temperature. Hope it can be improved. All staff work extremely hard and do their best. Since our visit last year, there have been many staff changes in the restaurant. At the time of our visit there were staff training issues and confusion with orders in the restaurant. Things seemed to improve with the arrival of the Austrian students, who had better understanding and communication skills. We know the Management team were trying their best to solve the issues. We have had many excellent past stays at La Quinta and we are sure they will succeed in bringing it back to its 5 star status. We are returning in September and will review again.

“Restaurant needs to be professionally run, from food to service.”

Very clean and welcoming hotel, but restaurant needs a complete overhaul from the quality of food to the service provided. Not a 5 star experience.

We were quite disappointed on our return visit to La Quinta. We enjoyed the facilities in the hotel but the dining experience left a lot to be desired. We were quite disappointed on our return visit to La Quinta. We enjoyed the facilities in the hotel but the dining experience left a lot to be desired. Alberto tried so hard to keep all the guests happy but quite often the orders came out wrong. The 4 young ladies from Austria were like a breath of fresh air. They appeared so efficient and pleasant which couldn't be said for some of the regular restaurant staff. We didn't find the dining experience to be 5*.

We returned from the hotel yesterday following a week’s holiday. Receptionist was very helpful and enthusiastic, offering us a welcome drink and telling us about the amenities available. He then took us to our garden room, which was very dated. The shower being over the bath. The furniture was dated .The toilet very small, and close to the wall telephone. There was two single beds pushed together. The room was very clean and housekeeper was excellent. The restaurant staff, were friendly and I felt from reading previous reviews there had been some improvement on training. We did not need to wait too long for our orders. Breakfast, was a cold buffet plus hot food to order. Very little choice, most days only orange juice. Small selection of fruit including tinned peaches. Dinner was also buffet starters, for the full length of our stay the selection was exactly the same, just put things in different places. I felt the buffet was poor . Main course was ordered , bland and beige, no vegetables and very little flavour . We never had dessert so cannot comment. We felt the whole hotel was dated and needs a complete refurbishment.
